Right now, at my desk, tears in my eyes. What an unbelievable moment he created. I wish that making that emotional connection was more common in this field: what Hannibal does here elevates the art form and leaves adults walking away from a magic show feeling like a kid again.

KZbin randomly recommended your channel to me and I've just been sitting here binging videos of your acts for two hours now. You're an incredible magician, a wonderful storyteller, and funny as hell, but what I'm taking away from this is that if more people took their gifts and used them to spread love like you do, the world would be a much happier place, so thank you for that, and I hope that the love and joy you've spread to others comes back to you in full.

Being a fan of stage "magic" I've seen lots of tricks. Cards, coins, cups, etc. Different performers do things differently, some suck and some are grand. But never have I seen a man do something so simple, yet so very beautiful as this performance. Thank you, really.

Again, what a gift. Thanks man. Really powerful combo of story telling, inspirational and magic, which is in itself almost secondary. This is transcending magic into the realm of art and human connection. Your kids must feel so much spoiled with you as their dad!

my dad is a magician so i kind of am one too. learned his tricks since i was a child. i am 31 now and allways look through yt and other stuff just to see new routines. and still, i know how the most tricks are done, there is one of a thousand who can amaze me just by the way they interact with the crowd and keep your eyes awai from the trick simply by telling a nice story. you sir a one of my favorite! I'm sucking at life right now. I'm coming on 35 years of age, recently diagnosed autistic (so THAT'S why I'm weird, lol!), fumbling around through this pandemic like I'm some kind of droid waiting to be rebooted and then this Hannibal guy happens to me and... well, let's just say I desperately want him to come to the UK so I can see his show! He's not just a magician, he's a brilliant entertainer and a good soul! I saw a pandemic video of his where he talks about baking bread and giving food he's made away to strangers who are struggling and I've watched a few more besides. The world needs you, Hannibal... especially at a time like this! Hang tight in there buddy, you're an antidote!!!

With other magicians it feels like they communicate with their audience just to make their tricks go smoother and look better (and that is fine). But with this guy, it feels as if his tricks (that are still great) are just a complement to his awesome chemistry with the audience (and I love that)!

For your last tale tale in this video, it made me think, ponder with a lot of wonder, "If a wrapped present is mysteriously beautiful, because you simply don't know what it could be and by opening it you destroy that mystery, what about us in the engineering community? What could be just as beautiful? To us Woodworkers and to those who create games and who create those objects, what would be just as beautiful?" To which I answered, A piece of blank stock that's *just* the right size to make only one thing out of. We could turn it into *anything* in the world. We could make a piece of material that was just as beautiful for our wife, girlfriend or child or we could turn it into another tool or gadget for our self and our sons to use in the future and many generations on wards. Possibly the next most beautiful thing from a present is a blank - To a writer, a piece of paper, to a woodworker a log, to a blacksmith and to engineers a bar or block of metal. The very reason some of us who have the talent at home keep a blank we get from someone else, well, *blank*, is because the answer of "What can I do with this?" is simply too grand for us to want to destroy it. It then becomes a mystery to us as it has to your daughter Rose, we don't know the answer because there are too many answers to give. Have a wonderful day Hannibal and everyone else who reads this comment! And for those night-prowlers who read blocks of text like this, I wish a great night to you too.

I've been watching this video for years. Every now and then I come back to it because after countless views, it always teaches me something new that I can carry into the next day. I may not redefine how someone lives their life with what I've learned, but I can influence how they decide to pursue their own definition of happiness and success with what I've taken away from this story. In some ways, I can relate, in others it makes me feel nostalgic on moments that haven't even happened yet. It makes me feel warm, and innocent, comforted in now and hopeful for the future....It makes me see the beauty that this world can possess without worry of everything that terrifies me. This is one of the most incredible moments that I've experienced and I wasn't even there in person. I can't imagine the impact this had on those that were in those seats that night. Keep doing what you're doing, Hannibal. You have a gift, and I'm fortunate enough to have pulled that only item out my proverbial stocking you were referring to.
