Ziggler definitely cared about being the wwe champion and being a top guy in wwe. Every post show interview from 2013-2018 consisted of him talking about how he bust his butt and basically never given the ball. It use to annoy me because it always felt like he was burying his other accomplishments (IC, US, world title, etc) to whine about never being wwe champion. When I was young, i seen it as a millionaire crying that they weren't a billionaire.

People need to quit whining that an ex-wwe guy got the title - we complained for years that wwe was wasting his talents, TNA is using those talents and people are mad. Geez, it isn't like he was a nobody from wwe and they gave him the title his first night there. He has name value, he hs a former world champ so putting the title on him makes sense. Hendry chasing the title is the best thing right now. Everyone remembers Austin being champ but his best moments are from when he was chasing the title - Hendry is the same. Give him a few months and yeah, putting the title on him makes sense but right now him chasing builds him up. He pinned Moose so he proved he is one of the top guys, don't need to jump the gun especially now with what he is doing.

Its good to go to some place that can appreciate you. WWE and AEW have so many top level wrestlers its hard to get a spot. TNA needs as many top level credible wrestlers as they can get, so theres a spot For Nic Nemeth to be the top guy he always was and just wasn't given enough opportunity to be. Not because there was anything wrong with him, but WWE is to the point that even their undercard wrestlers could easily be a big name in a smaller indie promotion or maybe even has. TNA needs top level talent? Go be top level talent. Being world champion of a smaller company is better then being the person they bring out when they want someone to look good at least in my eyes, cause the top is the top regardless of the size of the company.

I wanted to see him in AEW because he could've been put with Osprey, OMega, Moxley, Swerve, Page, Danielson, MJF and many other top guys and put on great matches. But I don't think he would've been utilized correctly. There are five permanent main event pieces and it's not going to change. MJF, Moxley, Jericho, Danielson and a swapping in and out of Swerve, Page, Allin, Christian and the Elite guys.
