He kinda had to be diplomatic abt it here. Booker T has grown up in an era where you don't disrespect legends of Ric Flair's calibre. Book had to bite his tongue not to state his true thoughts on the match bc I could tell he couldn't stand the match at all. For him to pause and went silent for a few seconds meant to me it was bad.

@@niaedmonds3342 Booker kisses ass sometimes. He’s always had to fight 2x harder for respect for guys that came in after him (i.e the Batista incident which was more recently exposed that it was due to Batista disrespecting him about who draws more money back in 06 when Booker was sitting in a chair for press during the SS shoot) so you know he has to try extra hard to keep his respect with older guys he earned respect from. I've been borderline OBSESSED with Ric Flair since the first time I saw him in 1989 when I was 8 years old. I'm STILL obsessed with Ric Flair. To me he is the greatest that will ever live. The build up to this match and the drama surrounding it was AMAZING!! Ric looked GREAT in the training clips with Jay Lethal. But the match was exactly what it was. A man who was too old, in fragile health and injured before it even happened. It wasn't good and I agree it was at times it was genuinely scary. I was so glad that Flair got through it and that he got to have a final "moment" and hats off to him for doing what he did, but in reality, he shouldn't have done it!

Flair doesn’t need the money anymore. This was Conrad Thompson’s idea. Shouldn’t have happened. Flair passed out twice during the match. Thankfully Flair didn’t get hurt or worse. I’m all for defying age and doing what you want to do but ca mon 73 years old is ridiculous. But just my opinion. Flair said he wish he wouldn’t have said its his last match. That’s what bothers/worries me about it. When will it ever be enough for Flair??? I really hope it was his last match.

This is a Class A reaction from both, but honestly, it left in tears, man. Everyone involved did their best including Flair but he simply wasn't ready for this and it showed. I didn't want to see my hero not even be able to do his famous strut to the ring, not have the energy and endurance of his early days, take that horrifying suplex from Lethal and literally lay there for minutes immobile. It hurt my damn soul. He should have had a stadium party highlighted by his greatest matches, and fond memories from his fellow wrestlers. Let him party in the middle of the ring with Kid Rock and a truck load of strippers!

watching ric at that event reminded me of 2 parts of of 2 films. the first part was the coach of apollo crred screaming at rocky to throw in the towel. and the final 3 minutes of the movie THE WRESTLER when it ends with the elbow drop.its a sad depressing but at the same time inspirational ending. nothing he does ever in life tho will ever be as beautiful special match and moment then shawn michaels say I'm sorry. rick asking for the kick. and crying on each other counting to 3. Man I wish you could do that match, but your health is important. Harlem Heat was one of the Baddest "Big Man" teams on the block and always a contender to reckon with. Dig that... Sucka

People need to know when to say when, as great it is to see him in the ring at his age, coming off of a serious health issue, isnt the time to be throwing your body around. I've never been a Flair fan but Im glad he got to retire on his own instead of being buried like everyone else seems to be in the industry.

Match was awful, beyond dangerous and guaranteed it won't be the last one. There's no sense of "completeness in his heart" as long as someone will book him. He should've been finished 15 years ago.

Wasn’t even close to selling out…maybe 3/4. I believe it was 6800 out of about 9000 seats.

That's what I've been hearing as well. You won't hear the Flair marks saying it was not a sellout though.

I truly believe and this may sounds harsh and crazy..Ric Flair is ok if his last breath came in the ring..thats how much he loves this game and the bigger it gets the more he wants..i see it in his eyes

Hopefully he financially straight now, and now more last matches. And finally got that closure.

Flair is the goat but he looked horrible, I was scared for him. I understand he’s in his 70’s so I didn’t expect much. I wish he would’ve retired after Evaluation
