Rock is what’s making this story cook perfectly. Looking forward to watching Cody lose to Roman again, because Cody’s story would absolutely suck if he ends up being the guy that breaks Roman’s streak. Roman’s streak is the real story, and as much as I like Cody, him beating Roman turns both Cody and Roman into regular one dimensional characters, more so for Cody. If Cody loses again, then the story becomes even more interesting and intriguing. How will he react, what kind of a face or heel will it cause him to become. Have Cody wrestle with that and then have him a world title. That’s far more interesting for his legacy and longevity. Cody has been winning way too much, literally dominating every opponent including Brock Lesnar, so another loss to Roman wouldn’t hurt him at all. Just like how Seth can’t beat Cody and Roman can’t be Seth (fairly), makes it so much more intriguing for when they face off again down the road. I’m with Rock, I’m tired of the Cody crybabies, they’ve gotten everything so far, and still won’t stfu

It's ok to have an opinion on what's going on, but don't present your love of Roman like it's fact. His title reign has been mediocre at best; he has done almost nothing to elevate the title or anyone around him. Now, part of that I'm sure is because of the writers. Either way it's lackluster at best, bad at worst. He also wrestles less than part time. He wrestled 11 times last year. It's not to move on from him. They should have done it last year, but here we are. That also brings us to Cody. Whether you like him or not he is the hottest babyface WWE has had in more than a decade. Maybe longer. He is also a great ambassador for the brand, unlike Roman. Did you see Roman out there doing TV and radio shows promoting WM40? You didn't because even though he is a heel, they know he isn't what they need for that spot. It also has not happened where someone won back to back rumbles, went to WM, and lost both years. Not only does it make less than zero sense to do this, it would absolutely kill Cody and any chance he has to really hit the next level. The Rock is not here to feud with Roman or whatever right now. He is here to put the focus on Cody; that's exactly why they had him "turn" heel. I'm not convinced that also isn't a red herring and he will actually help usher in Cody when he wins at WM40. Think about it: what better way to really make the next guy "THE guy" than by having someone like Rock put his stamp of approval on it? It's over a year past Roman's expiration date. He is a good heel on the mic at times, but otherwise he doesn't do....anything. He barely shows up, he talks a little trash, he wins by interference every time. You can call interference wins by a heel whatever you want, but it's way overused with him. He hasn't had a clean win in what? A year and a half? They've actually made him look weaker and weaker every time they do it. Hate on Cody and the fans of his all you want, the guy loves the business and works incredibly hard. He is where he is because he worked hard and deserved it, and he will be winning at WM40. Prepare yourself for the disappointment a fake show brings you.

I think Rock thinks he's untouchable. And attacking the fans isn't a great idea. Sidelining a regular for a match when he wrestles every once in a blue moon, working his way into that Hulk Hogan spot (gee, how do people feel about Hulk Hogan now?) He's going to destroy his movie career because it's mostly wrestling fans that go see his movies. Black Adam was a bust, so any potential sequels for that are done. So what's he doing now? Taking a spot from a fan favorite. CM Punk is hurt so now they have to pivot. But why should he care when he's getting that WWE payout. Well why would fans pay for something they don't want to see. You make em mad to play up the "heel", well now they don't want to see your movies. You already got people mad because him and Oprah were like "We need you to give money for this." I wish they would've given Booker T a more prominent role as a champion in WWE. His only time as champion in WWE was when he was playing a comedic act as King Booker. He deserved better than that. I thought when he cleanly pinned Angle on smackdown, that was the year for Booker T and writers missed a HUGE opportunity to cash in.

Why is he getting opportunity after opportunity? It's worse than Drew getting a title match every time. Rollins never got a rematch against Roman. Owen's didn't get a rematch. They screwed Edge after he won the rumble. Sami never got a rematch. People were talking about this story since Roman's gimmick change, so don't spew the bs. I don't hate Cody but his character isn't all that great. They'll be booing him 2 months within his reign. He's not all that.

Its obviously not real but i do disagree with the trying to find yourself in the rocks spot, its significantly harder to do that when wwe pushed cena to the moon for over a decade and buried up and comers and then build up people like roman who cant wrestle a great match 99% of the time. But when you have guys like punk and bryan as well as cody who have to constantly be leapfrogged by part time guys who show up for 1 to 2 matches that pisses them off because it cuts out some of their opportunities, that isnt the rocks fault thats vince and creatives fault. Orton and cena began putting guys over left and right near the end of their careers but the damage was done by vince and horrible creative years ago and now theyre righting that ship and then rocl comes in and takes that main event spot and that pisses fans off and probably people backstage...not saying whats right or wrong but thats why there is backlash. Lets face it, if roman dropped the title to cody last mania this situation wouldnt have people pissed at rock and id say there would be a lot of hype for his match with roman even though i still think roman is trash. .but the moral of the story is poor booking leads to being booked into a corner and that poor booking started more than a decade ago
