If you haven't seen it, the DVD of "Stax/Volt Review: Live in Norway, 1967" is awesome. They're in their early prime, all young and full of energy (esp. Duck Dunn who's not doing so well in this concert) and with the original drummer, Al Jackson. Plus Sam & Dave, Arthur Conley and Otis Redding!

THank Christian, Yes, I think I've watched every piece of video on the group. It is great to be able to see Donald (Duck) Dunn so young and happy playing 17 encores for Otis Redding's live performance "Try A Little Tenderness" Cheers, Dy

Al Jackson was the greatest drummer to ever live, in my opinion, but his cousin, Steve Potts got better every time I heard him. Booker is as usual masterful here, but my favorite moment is when they go into "Soul Dressing" & Duck pops his boy Cropper on the shoulder. Knew each other since elementary & the best guitar/ bass duo ever!

Superb. Saw the boys live many times over the years but this intimate performance captures their very essence. Must dig out the dvd. Live at B.B. Kings I think.

Wow! What a treat to see a live version of Soul Dressing (starts @ 3:49). Its one of my favorite all time tracks. A killer riff and idea cooked to all out perfection. Does not get better than this.
Maravilhoso como sempre, MAS so faltou eles erguerem o volume!!! Wonderful as ever BUT they could pump up the volume a little bit...

that's a pretty intense bridge pickup on steve's guitar, looks like a humbucker with 4 rails. Anyone know what it is? sounds dynamite whatever it

Prior to joining John Mayall's Bluesbreakers and then going on to form Fleetwood Mac, Peter Green and Mick Fleetwood did a version of Soul Dressing with Peter B's Looners, which included Peter Bardens (Them, Camel, Van Morrison) on keys, and Dave Ambrose (Jeff Beck Group, Brian Auger Trinity). kzbin.info/www/bejne/kJ-acoR8d7ueoKc

Roy Buchanan's version has a lot more energy and verve about it.
