Gotta give some love for CSR. We love this resort. It offers just enough "adult" relief. After a few days in the parks it's nice to have the volume of shrieking children brought down some. It's just our home away from home now. Plus , they offer a UPS service that always saves us from hauling our souvenirs on the plane. We pack up a box the night before our last day and then a couple days later after were home.Presto ! More, Disney magic !

I packed up a box to be mailed on departure day at Port Orleans Riverside. I called the General Store and they held a box for me the size I needed from their incoming merchandise. I filled out a UPS Form from the Concierge desk and they made it easy.

jen funk No. It's just common sense. It was a sad thing but I blame the parents. Florida water is gross flesh eating bacteria ect.

What is Kevin thinking.... The landscaping I find is way better then most deluxe resorts. Just look at Riverside!!!

+Dave Haringa I AGREE!! Riverside is my choice BECAUSE I love scenery! I feel this is the most beautifully landscaped resort on property.

I think you guys totally missed the beignet factor. The beignets at Port Orleans French Quarter are not to be missed!

Love the French Quarter as well. My absolute favorite
@mckenna86638 жыл бұрын
+Andrew Karns We stayed there twice. I do appreciate that it is condense and that a walk from any room to the main building is reasonable. My kids also love the theme-ing of the pool slide. My choice is still Riverside due to the landscaping and grounds...but French Quarter is nice as well.

Las Ventanas used to be the private dining room for Rick's Lounge so it has always been there, just as part of the lounge. Now it is a full casual dining table service venue. I guess Coronado Springs felt they needed another table service restaurant for the business crowd.

A big reason our family (with boy 8 and girl 6) liked when we stayed at a moderate is that they all have pool slides whereas the value resorts do not have slides at their pools (although values are themed awesome for kids). Thanks for a great show!!! We actually really enjoyed Coronado Springs- but it was during Easter so they're weren't any conventions.

+1978rga My nieces 8 and 6 love slides, they will slide for hours. We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and they loved the slide and I liked that it was not a death defying slide I have seen at some other off site resorts.
@mckenna86638 жыл бұрын
+Brenda Baranowski Look up an image of the slide at the French Quarter. My kids went gaga for it. (again - not death defying...one you would feel safe to let kids go up and down on their own)

Las Ventanas at Coronado Springs is casual table service dining that is reasonably priced and was quite good. If you like a French Dip, theirs was excellent. Pepper Market is now just a regular quick service. We had some of the best steak and chicken of our entire trip at the Maya Grill. Room service breakfast was quite good and reasonably priced. Please continue to give less than favorable impressions of the resort, that way there's more room for me. We have found that we could stay at Coronado and not go to the parks. It is very relaxing. Also, the bus service is quite good, people attending conventions don't go to the parks early in the day.

I’m confused, this is over 2 years old but they seem to be talking about CBR like it’s newly refurbished! As of the end of 2017 the resort is primarily under a “much needed” renovation! I expected when CBR came up for them to complain about the condition of the rooms since they evidently were SOOOOO bad! prior to the start of the resort renovation!

oh wow! That sounds fun all the way around. We have not been to Disney World since 2004 although the first time we went as a family was in 1974. We stayed in the Dutch inn and Disney town was a very small area. What do you recommend for a senior couple (64)?
@abbiejoliec31335 жыл бұрын
Jerry Thomas At age 67 and wanting all the Magic I could get, I enjoyed a Royal Room at Port Orleans Riverside. I wanted grab bars in the bathroom so I got an Accessible Royal Room. I rented a Scooter with a sunshade. I used Minnie Van Special Services, Lyft or Uber to get to meal reservations in time. I had a fabulous trip. You can see on Resort maps how close the Royal Rooms are to the Food Court and Lobby. I did drive the Scooter over a slightly bumpy bridge.

If those parents had listened to this their son maybe alive (alligator attack). Disney makes it clear that ppl shouldn't get near the lakes.

Looking to book the Port Orleans Riverside for the first time. Just wanted to ask if the Preferred rooms because of the location are worth the extra money? I heard the property is large but see that it looks very spread out on the map. I would rather ask for opinions from those who are familiar with it.Thanks
@debdwright18 жыл бұрын
+key West SUNSET Yes get preferred room if you can, as the resort is very large and spread out. I would also recommend that you request a bottom floor room, as the stairs can become tiresome especially if you don't have the preferred room, and the long walks to get to your building.
@Jimmy-Mc8 жыл бұрын
So it's been a while since I've been there, but it has 3 bus stops around the property, so you don't have to walk as far when going to the parks. Obviously you still have to walk to the food court of you go, but the pool is also centrally located, so it's never too much of a walk.
@keywestsunset38978 жыл бұрын
Thank you both, I decided to splurge. We booked preferred location. Thanks!!!
