This event is a real event. The movie twists it and turns it into a horror movie. This song is basically a fan song that contains love for fans. Red Velvet puts a twist on that horror movie again. (That area is like that) In other words, strangers (Red Velvet's fans) can never leave Red Velvet. In other words, it is a song filled with earnestness and gratitude towards their fans. This is a song and music video that expresses universal love and gratitude for fans.

Also seems their music has these lores that was dedicatedly crafted into it but I was not smart enough to understand it on my own lol. So glad I found this video!!Nowww it all makes sense. Wait, if the traveller had been sacrificed and was dead by the time the girls sat together at that table with flowers in their eyes, why would the traveller still appear during the maypole dance? She was dressed in their traditional clothing and she still has her May Queen crown, the girls danced with her while she was still drugged. That's what I don't actually get from the MV, was the traveller really sacrificed?

In the movie it was the boyfriend who was sacrificed and Dani picked him to be sacrificed after she saw him in a sexual ritual with the other Harga women. So I think the symbolism goes both ways, that in the end she still is the May Queen and dances with the others because she officially is ripped from the things that connected her from her old life and now believes the cult is her family.

Basically Red Velvet are a cult. An outsider crash lands on the "star" that is red velvet and they are taken in by the girls and the rest of the cult. They try to run away but are caught in a trap. In the end, the outsider is sacrificed by the reve girls and becomes the Midnight Sun that the cult was yearning for.
