If you want a mystery set in a small town during Christmas, I recently read A Holiday Homicide. But it is book four in a cosy mystery series.

I really need something that is just a nice cosy mystery that is well written, so I'll definitely check it out. Can you read them as stand alone or should I read the whole series?
