@@kameryngreer3098 All right, that sounds promising. What I like about good fiction is when a ton of elements about the world connect together in surprising but sensible ways, like how the one ring makes you visible to the Nazgul, and how the spice likewise is a powerful tool and a crutch.

Ngl I used to watch you allll the time up until around shortly after your wedding when you slowly started to become a full on booktuber and I’ve lost the inspiration to read (I was a book junkie growing up, even my English teacher would complain about it), so I stopped watching. I have a recommendation!! White Bird by R J Palacio who is also an author of Wonder. White bird is a story of a grandma who tells her grandson her story. It’s about 1940-1950 in France when h*tl3r was taken over a lot of countries. Also it has a movie! It’s suuuper good!! I highly recommend it

“All Systems Red” by Martha Wells has been a go to recommendation for everyone for me. It’s really short, so it’s not too overwhelming, and if you DO like it and want the option to read more it’s part of a big series. So you can read the one book pretty quick and decide if you want to keep going without having to commit to a 500 page book before deciding.

I always hated reading, i failed English in highschool twice, just could not give a care in the world for it. That being said, there is not one Stephen King book i haven't read. The stand and It was tough for me to stay committed, and TDT wizard and glass was just a tough one over all, but Stephen King did what 13 years of school could not, taught me to enjoy reading

My recs: I Am Legend- short read. Kinda horror, kinda not, post apocalyptic, but the main character is just a guy trying his best to survive. The Flower War - a little longer, standalone, incredibly well written adult urban fantasy Altered Carbon - better than the tv show by an order of magnitude Aurora Rising - sci-fi space opera but also kind of a crime novel?

Fire Upon the Deep is genuinely one of the coolest and most entertaining books I’ve ever read. Long book but I FLEW through that shit, every page was fun to read. Coming from someone who doesn’t read much. It turned me into a sci-fi fan.
