I envy anyone who can read more than one book at a time!! I have tried but with my ADD I simply can’t remember one of them if I’m reading two. More than 2 books I haven’t even tried! Loved the video!

I have read The Lives of Saints and I absolutely loved it. I got through it within a day and I read it when it got to my house I am currently reading...a lot of books but one of them is A Deadly Education and I must admit I am not enjoying it. I like the characters and I like the school, but the way it is written is just irritating me and making it really hard to actually enjoy it. The writing style is one of the make it or break it things for me so it is really impacting how I view the book. There are some books I want to read by the end of the year, such as A gathering of Shadows. But one I particularly want to read is Looking Glass by Christina Henry which is the third instalment in the Chronicles of Alice which is a retelling collection I really enjoy. It came out earlier this year. The author has released another book since then and I still have not read it and I have no excuse why.

I read To Sleep in a Sea of Stars the week it came out because I LOVE Paolini and Eragon as well. It was just jaw-droppingly wonderful. It was such an easy read despite the complexity of the world and the plot. The plot is great. The characters and intriguing. The world is breathtaking. Overall 10/10 definitely recommend to anyone who loves Paolini's writing like I do.

I completely agree with you on A Gathering of Shadows: it mostly puts aside the main plot, and it can be boring if the magic competition leaves you cold. It felt like a filler book to me. But A Conjuring of Light focuses back on the main plot and doesn't stop, so it should be a faster read.

hey jananie! i don't remember if i ever commented on one of your videos before, but i believe i found you through mika. i kinda subscribed and then never did anything because the california fires hit and we had to evacuate. shortly after that, i got a puppy that needed (and still needs) rehabilitating and intense training so that's what i've been doing >_< i'm so sorry i kinda subbed and ran, but i promise i can be at least a little more active by watching your content on the tv and upvoting at the very least if i can't get on my ipad ☺️ i hope you've been doing well and this is a great video! i haven't read any of these books/authors, but a lot of these are on my tbr. hopefully i can get around to it eventually when life stops being so wild LMAO anyway, sorry this is so long and thank you so much for the bookish content!

ABFE is a bit of a brick and is a little complicated, so I think I would’ve taken me a long time to get through it if I hadn’t read it for the Reading Rush (I don’t recommend that, though). I’m hoping to read the rest of the Vampire Academy series, the Gemma Doyle series, and All the Bright Places. Will that happen with my current schedule remains to be seen.

Out of curiosity.. How many books do you read a month? I am constantly challenging myself to read more but sometimes I struggle and it takes me at least 6 weeks to finish a novel. How do you do it? I love your book choices by the way! :)
@annemontgomery38904 жыл бұрын
Have you tried picking a weekend to finish a certain book you're struggling with, and to make it into a theme weekend? I did that for It, and for Dune, and I'd buy some food that would go with the book (loosely inspired), and then find a book that has smt to do with it, etc. That's how I can read larger books fast, and it motivates me to sit down and read for multiple hours a day
