YES YES YES. I actually think a HUGE TBR is perfect for how much time we all have now. I haven't really taken advantage of it so far, but you've definitely motivated me. "Yer a wizard, Hailey." Yeah, I'm as cringy in words as I am in videos. This is going to be a long quarantine.
@jennyross56454 жыл бұрын
"I'd like to speak to past Hailey and be like, 'Yo girl, get it together,' but I wouldn't because I cannot ever get it together." 😂😂😂 I freaking love you! Don't worry, you aren't the only one who can't get it together. I've got plenty of sequels and finales and whatever else that I buy to have the whole set, but haven't read any of them or only the first so far. That's what it is to be a book lover and collector. :)

I totally feel you about the current situation affecting your reading momentum. Since the pandemic escalated in my area, I’ve had a lot of trouble focusing on fantasy or sci fi books, which makes me sad because they’re normally my favorite genres. The solution for me has to been reading fluffy stuff. So, I borrowed a bunch of contemporary romance ebooks from my library. I just finished Get a Life, Chloe Brown and it left me so happy. It’s what I’ve been needing.

For the whole first half of The Cruel Prince my thought was "WTF?" It had a lot to do with the events that started the book and more descriptions of the girls' lives in Faerie, but I pushed through and thought it was decent by the end. I actually really enjoyed The Wicked King (it was my personal fave of the 3) and then The Queen of Nothing was good. I'd say try again later and see if you can get through it, if only to see how you like the next two.

Your video "The Best Adult Romance Books" has been a video I have been watching none stop because adult fiction has become one of my favourite genres for the past few years. It's definitely a very different sort of format, but I think it works for audiobook very well, because it is quite slow and gorgeous and by listening I find that I can appreciate the sound and the beauty of the sentences without feeling impatient! This book would be nice for persons who like puzzles, games etc as we go back and forth in time and piece the puzzle together until the end of the story. It's not a typical fantasy and I also love that about this. 😍🔥💫

OMG Graceling is literally one of my favorite book series of all time. Kristin Cashore was really a front runner when it came to diverse feminist fantasy - and the romance subplots are to die for. I've been doing a lot of audiobooks while playing Animal crossing too XD. As far as Starless Sea...It does have a really good audiobook but I recommend reading along physically. It relies a lot on subtle nuances. While it does have some Wonderland vibes, there's a hefty amount of inception aspects to it too. The story within a story within a story... It's one of those books that the more times you read the more things you discover. Best of luck with your reading this month. Hope you are staying safe!
