“To the people who say I’ll change my mind about having children” 👏 I DO have a child, I love her dearly, but I know people who don’t want children and I think that’s great! No one “has” to have children and it’s so annoying to think people can’t be completed without them or that “just” a couple isn’t a family (it is!) This video is so cathartic, you took so much of my inner anger to annoying people and you put it all in a video 🙌👏 thank you!! -sincerely, a huge people pleaser 😫

Jess, I love your channel and as a fan, I recommend you read the Raybearer duology by Jordan Ifueko. Both books are less than 400 pages and I think you’d really enjoy it as it’s a LOT different from most YA fantasy. At the very least, I hope you’ll read a sample and see what you think. Love you, Jess 💝
@priscilla.t.a2 жыл бұрын
Raybearer is so freaking good. It is obviously very different, but the magic of the world reminded me of something I loved about Narnia: how the magic is a part of the land, its history, its people, and its creatures. Tarisai, the main character, is better than any of the Pevensie children imo though. READ IT JESSSS. 🙏🏽

I would recommend 2 series to my enemies: "A Song of Ice and Fire" and "Berserk" the manga, bec. they are good (albeit very traumatising) BUT more importantly, they arent finished. There is no end to Berserk, bec. the creator is dead and I doubt GRRM's ability to finish his book series ever. So my enemies would be left hanging all the rest of their lives. *villainous cackle

Talking about Huck Finn gave me flashbacks to 11th grade English where the white teacher (who loved to tell us about how he used to be a pastor) had us read the book out loud in class and said to "read the n-word because that's how it was written." We were all so uncomfortable. God, I hated that class. 🤦♀️ Anyways, loved the video! Your anti-recommendations were great.

"You'll change your mind about having kids." Me: "Yeah, I already did change my mind and decided I didn't want any." Those people are super annoying. My life is fulfilling. It was fun trying to guess what book you would recommend based on the description! Lmao I got two of them correct although I should have remembered Ninth House and Deadly Education! Also life with your old roommate sounds like a terrible time 😂 but I think you have to have at least one infuriating experience. I've always wondered if people just weren't exposed to basic social etiquette or if they just threw it all away when they went to college/got a space of their own lmao.
