Omg, it's the best book i've read this year! I love it, I read it twice in July and I consider listening to an audiobook. It's sooooo good! There is also a short story to this book available on wattpad.

*Cruel Beauty* by *Rosamund Hodge* is a *Beauty and the Beast* retelling with mythology and it's AMAZING I've read it twice and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT I totally recommend that you read it, and it reminds me of *Rumplestilskin and Belle* from OUaT (Best. Show. Ever.)

also, some of my favorite retellings are the land of stories, the isle of the lost, the sisters grimm, the lunar chronicles, princess of the midnight ball, grounded; the adventures of rapunzel, and mighty jack. I know a lot of those are middle grade, but theyre all amazing. also, not a retelling, but I would just like to mention the amazing book Spinning by Tillie walden, which is a graphic memoir of her life as a young lesbian figure skater. I was crying throughout. It was amazing

Definitely gonna check out the books that I haven't read yet. Some of my other favorite fairytale retellings are Beastly, Splintered, The Captive Maiden, and this isn't quite a fairy tale retelling, but the Abandon trilogy. It retells the story of Hades and Persephone and it's one of my favorite series to date.

I’m halfway through A Wicked Thing by Rhiannon Thomas and I’m loving it so far! It’s a retelling of sleeping beauty (she’s my fav princess) I love retellings so thank you so much for the recs! I had such a hard time making it through uprooted and almost had to DNF but I agree that the writing was beautiful!

!!! Uprooted is like my all time favorite!! Have you picked up "Spinning Silver" by the same author? It just came out on July 10th and is a Rumplestiltskin retelling (but actually not? it just uses the basic elements and then becomes a whole other story!).

Cinda Chima's The Demon King reminds me of Aladdin. The Demon King follows two main characters, one of whom is a princess whose parent has an evil wizard/sorcerer advisor. The other character is a former street lord who comes upon a magical artifact. I would say some other things, but they're kind of spoilers lol.

A different recomendation for Aladdin reteling! The Forbidden Wish by Jessica Khoury La main character is the genie, and is a bisexual character, one of her main rules of being a genie is that she can't fall in love with a human or she'll be destroyed. In the past, she fell in love with a princess and horrible things happened. No she must stay away from Aladdin if she wants to avoid the same destiny for both. That book is amazing! Everybody should read it!

I defently will pick up Furyborn now. I have not been interested in reading it before. Not until you compared it a bit to Once Upon A Time. Which is one of my favorite tv series ever. So sad it ended. Also I love Geekerella. It's so good and so cute. I also thought it reminded me of A Cinderella Story (the first one. The best one. ). One of my favorite books I have read this year. Need to re read it. And continnue doing these kind of videos, It's really good. I love Disney and retellings (done right.).

I have two but one is a Disney book. A Whole New World by Liz Braswell. It's more like a what if story, a little bit different than the movie. Alias Hook by Lisa Jensen, is a Peter Pan book, but it follows hook and this woman. It's definitely an adult book, not for kids.
