Here are three books that help me to improve my playing.
Let me know if you own any of these or of any other books that has helped your playing along the way.
I tried to give a first person point of view of the books but its a bit rough.
Here is Part 2

Great recommendations! There is nothing like working through books like these versus quick YT lessons. The best learning comes through using your mind. I particularly like the the last book. All the lines are in standard notation. I too am on a path to become a jazz player. Best of luck in your music journey.

You said it well, books allow you to use your mind and once you understand what you're doing everything is wide open. Thanks and good luck on your musical journey as well one of my teachers used to tell me to learn to enjoy the process.

Gaettagor, for some reason I have not been getting your notifications even with the top bell checked. I went directly to your channel and found that I had missed some of your uploads. I found this one with the books and I'm going to take your word for it and I immediately ordered the chord scale and the Pentatonics book. I'll save the jazz one for a little later. I'm buying this on your word alone. I hope it is what you say it is. Thanks for the info!

That's weird I don't know why you're not getting notifications. With both those books you will have to put in some work but you will see a lot of great things start to happen once you're doing the work. Spend some time with the books and come back and let me know how they are working out.

Thanks for the recommendations, Gaettagor! Allow me to add two books that helped me immensely to get into Jazz playing: Joe Pass Guitar Style and Ted Greene's Chord Chemistry. These two books kept me on my toes for about 35+ years!

Yes "The Jazz Guitar Lines of the Greats". I definitely want that book. Grant Green was a great Jazz (bebop and Blues) player. Grant Green never got the same level of attention (in my opinion) as Wes. George Benson is another great!
