you collection is so beautiful!! i would recommend (totally do not need to follow this) that for the general fiction shelf underneath the Donna Tartt ™️ shrine, the books stacked on top of each other in the middle could be moved to the opposite end of either side of the shelf so that both piles of stacked books are not in the middle and it looks more cohesive all together! i think you did a great job with what you had and the most important thing is that YOU feel better about how it looks! forever jealous of your 25 year anniversary edition of tsh 💔💔

This was so delightful (as always)!! That Peanuts fabric on the upside-down shelf is so wonderful (as is the Snoopy embroidery, my word!!), and coincidentally, I stopped at the thrift on my way home from finals today and picked up a little Snoopy plush for $2 (I could not resist and am now absolutely enamored with it), so that was very fun to see!! Love categorizing by author last name, and I love a slightly chaotic bookshelf, so the way you categorized things is very fun and real, I think ("depressed fiction" may not have made the cut at the end, but it sure made me laugh haha)!! As someone with too many little objects and tchotchkes, the ones you have are A++!! Most of mine are in my closet at the moment, since I haven't yet figured out how to keep them out without my cat treating them as toys/prey lol... she has wrought enough havoc on my pens and pencils that I cannot trust her with my knick-knacks lol >_< By the way, it's really sweet hearing you talk about your girlfriend - I hope you both and your pets have a very lovely winter season!! Shelves on the Billy bookshelf can be moved, quite easily actually. Only the one in the centre (where you have romance books) is permanent, the rest can be moved around at any time. And you do have space to lower the ones that don't fit the hardbacks. That way everything will fit, and the shelves will be spaced out more evenly. Still looks amazing though😍

I know you're probably not looking for poetry recommendations but I wanna leave some anyways. Recordari by SJ Blasko is my all-time favourite poetry collection. It's so good. The Stars Weep Too by Alex Silvius is a poetry anthology with some amazing poems in it. Erratic and Unnecessary by Erelah Emerson is a super creative poetry collection that I think about a lot.

I wish I could fit all my books on a table. We've got a pool table, and I don't even think that thing would be strong enough to hold them all. If you wanna come somewhere cold, you could come help me unhaul! (Just kidding, obviously.) Oh, and I saw a Bryan Washington book in a Little Free Library yesterday. One of the few times I ever saw a book that's worth taking, but as I currently have a problem with needing to get rid of books, I left it for the next person who could benefit from it.
