I'm a lover of old cookbooks also. But I collect only ones that interest me - especially the smaller brochure ones from the 50's thru the early 80's (especially product ones or equipment ones). Finding ones for using Dr. Pepper, 7 up, Crisco,.... are fun to read & the graphics are fun. I do own a betty crocker 1950's dinner for two (the small one) which is another copy of the one my mother got as a wedding present in 1958!

You might enjoy the channel “Cooking the Books”. She uses some of those little specialty books. I remember her using a Dr Pepper one.

I put my softcover cookbooks & pamphlets in archival sheet protectors and keep them in large 3-ring binders according to type or category. For instance, one binder my have all baking power or fruits & nuts or meats.

I especially love those Betty Crocker cookbooks. You have given me some choices now to add to my collection. Did you by chance get the 1971 or 1975 Betty Crocker recipe card library collection? I found a BC recipe card box with some missing recipe cards from a yard sale. Oh wow! What fun that is. I found on ebay the remainder of the cards I was missing, so now I have a full recipe card collection. I would love to see any recipes from the BC collection cookbooks that you could "whip" up. So enjoy your videos.

I don't have the card collection! I just looked it up on Ebay and will probably be making a purchase soon! :) And I will definitely pull some of those Betty Crocker's out to review. They're so much fun to look through!

I’m blown away with this collection. Amazing! Just because it’s the time of year, I’d love to see anything vintage Christmas or vintage entertaining. I have Betty Crocker Dinner For Two, so if you do anything from that I’d be interested for your review.

Oh, my goodness! I loved the Tightwad Gazette. I have all 3 copies and loved reading about how to save money. Amy Dacyczyn was on the Phil Donahoe show one time, and the audience was not very nice to her. I would love for you to do a video on Tightwad Gazette. I think we could all use some ideas for budget meals. 😁

I will add it to the list! I love looking through her book and getting tips for budgeting. Her recipe for "maple syrup" is actually really good and something we've used for years!

I have The Big Spread cookbook, too! It is one of my favorites 😊 They are so cute and lovely. I really want to try a party recipe from that book one day! I would be super interested if you used one - Maybe something like a mini cookbook appetizer series? Who knows! They are just the cutest.

Also, I so desperately want to dig through your collection! Is there a method to your madness, an organizational process? Or do things just go where they fit? I have the itch to organize these lol
@ACookbookCollector2 жыл бұрын
That one is so cute!

It's really just organized chaos!! There is somewhat of a method to the madness but it could always use some finetuning! :)
