That original paperback edition of Night Shift brings back a flood of memories. I've come across reprints that aren't the die-cut version so I've avoided purchasing them. I read Who Censored Roger Rabbit back in my middle school days and dug it.

Thanks for checking the video out... I don't think I ever had Night Shift back in the 80s.. my brother might have had a copy... and I am not sure if I read any of the stories in it..

I owned a copy as a young kid in the early '90s. I was of course obsessed with "The Lawnmower Man" story because of the movie, even though it was absolutely nothing like it.

I've returned to reading Westerns after shying away from them for decades. I recently started collecting The Louis L'Amour Collection leatherette-bound books even though I have a bunch of his books in mass market format. I would be very interested in those Conan books.

I have seen those L'Amour leather bounds at thrift stores and books sales and not picked them us as I have so many of the paperbacks.. and often they are asking more than I want to pay for the books. I'll let you know about those Conan books.. I need to take a closer look at them. thanks for watching

Eric Peterson I recently picked up nine of the L'Amour Collection books for about $3 each. I would comfortably pay as much as $6 each. A lot of places want much more. Yeah, just keep me in mind with the Conan books. We can talk again if you have no interest in keeping them.

Holy crap! I don't think I have ever gasped so much while watching a book haul! That die cut night shift is SICK! You got some old conan in there. James blish horror. I need to watch this a couple more times. 10 cents! How are those executioner books? I see those everywhere but didn't want to start another huge series.

thanks... sometimes.. often times.. I get lucky.. mostly I think it's that I am largely looking for things people in this area don't think have much value or interest in... $0.10 is crazy I know... some times I find stuff I am looking for, some times it's things that catch my eye and some times it's stuff that I know people in the Men's Adventure Paperbacks of the 70s & 80s are talking about/ looking for... the plan is to start trading for things I am looking for, or selling stuff to fund my book/thrift hunting and B movie travel adventures. I need to get on that... as for the Mack Bolan/ Executioner books I tried to read a couple back in high school and they didn't really do much for me. I think that it is really going to depend on who the write was behind the book. right now I am reading Phoenix Force #2: Guerilla Games which I pick up because it was written y by Dan J Marlowe who was a gold medal writer back in the 50s and 60s and wrote the Drake books in the 70s... I have read the first 2 of those and they were great.. There are some MIA Hunters written by Joe R. Lansdale and some by Bill Crider (rip) that I am going to keep my eye out for and I have a couple of men's adventure books co-written by horror author Michael McDowell that I hope to get to soon... by the way have you looked at booksalefinder.com? that can help find library sales and what not in your area...

Eric Peterson no! I've never heard of it! Holy crap. Thanks. Is there a non fic about men's adventure books? Like paperbacks from hell or paperback confidential? Or something on those ridiculous crap books like born to run or that trucker book?

the closet thing to Paperbacks from Hell for Men's Adventure I know of is.. Serial Vigilantes of Paperback Fiction: An Encyclopedia from Able Team to Z-Comm by Bradley Mengel here is the Amazon link... www.amazon.com/Serial-Vigilantes-Paperback-Fiction-Encyclopedia-ebook/dp/B002XQ2IZO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1518980235&sr=8-2&keywords=serial+vigilantes there are also blog sites like: Glorious trash glorioustrash.blogspot.com/ and Paperback Warrior www.paperbackwarrior.com/ and a number of the writers (or relatives and friends of the writers) of these books are part of the FB men's adventure group and a good resource for information..

Btw, have you seen that doc on The Gears? I think it's called don't be afraid to pogo. It's a real different look at the LA punk scene. I just watched king or mayor (can't remember) of the sunset strip about Rodney on the roq. That ones on KZbin. Also great.
