Welcome, Alex! 🤗 I would recommend anyway you can get the most natural lighting to brighten up videos helps makes videos look “professional.” I think it just tends to make the video seem a little clearer and not as grainy, but that’s really all I’ve got for tips and tricks. 😂 I really like your idea of hiking videos or comparing movies to books! I actually super love that idea. I’m excited to see more of your videos! 🤗

I definitely try to get as much natural light as I can but the quietest room in my home only has one tiny window, and my city isn’t getting much sun this winter 😂 I got a new phone to film on and it seems to be helping but we’ll see. Thanks for watching, I’m checking out your channel now!

welcome to booktube! I'm going the same route with my channel, I'm probably gonna mainly talk about books but I'm not gonna limit myself or put myself in a box, I'm just gonna upload whatever I want to and I love when other people do the same. Subbed!

Woohoo! I also thought these questions were pretty broad/strange but it’s a nice place to start. Interested to hear your thoughts as you read through more classics. I’m trying to get back into them myself after pretending to read so many back in high school. A few classics I’ve picked up more recently that I’ve enjoyed... All Quiet on the Western Front, Their Eyes Were Watching God, and The Grapes of Wrath! Anyway, lookin forward to more videos!

The Grapes of Wrath is sitting on my shelf staring at me! Definitely hope to get to that one. And I need to find a copy of Their Eyes Were Watching God!

👋Hi KZbin (lol - this killed me). Having someone to talk about a book after you finish it is so rewarding, and not something you always get to experience when you don't have people around you who are into reading or into the same books. Ok here's a random book recommendation for something short and a little bit different. I'm currently reading This is How You Lose the Time War, which is a SciFi novella. The world-building and technology almost just plays the role of colourful background, it's not techy per se. The book is a series of correspondence between two agents on opposing sides of a war, which starts of as taunting as they sabotage each others efforts and develops into something... else. And through the correspondence you explore what it is to feel, what it is to connect, what it is to live, to love, etc. Beautiful writing. This is a strangely long comment for a newbie tag. My bad. Needless to say, welcome!

Welcome! Looking forward to the content you make, book related or not. What graphic novel did you read recently?

Frank Miller's Ronin. I'll talk about it a bit in a wrapup vid I'm planning to do!

Welcome to booktube! You should read my gothic romance novel '40,000 Words'. It follows Adelaide Parabellum as the arrival of poems from beyond the grave causes her to recollect how she had met a stranger at a pond eight years prior.

Your voice is lovely ✨ i use my phone to film too and I understand the struggle but it’s good enough ✨ Definitely don’t limit yourself. A fictional book that breaths truth make them the best.

Hi Alex, and welcome to BookTube ! I've been here for just over a month myself. Have you ever tried the graphic novel version of The Dark Tower series ? If not, I highly recommend it. It's based on the Stephen King series.
@notesbyalex3 жыл бұрын
I didn’t know that was a thing but that’s perfect! I’ve been wondering to myself whether I want to commit to the book series but I would definitely check out the graphic novel version!

Welcome to BookTube! Honestly, I didn't really notice your video being out of focus. Maybe because I'm using to seeing through smudged glasses haha. But your video quality looked fine to me.

That’s good because my second video is looking similar 😂 I’m wondering if it’s just because it’s an older phone. Hopefully I’ll be able to upgrade to an actual camera at some point!

@@notesbyalex It could just be the phone. But don't worry, it's not distracting, and plenty of other BookTubers are in the same boat. :)
