lol I feel you about the amount of reading other booktubers do!! I read only 4 books between January and February and it seems like everyone else always reads SO many books

Right?? I was worried how long this video might be for a two month wrap up and then realized it’s less books than some people’s wrap up for like, half of February 😂 I guess it means you and I can spend more time talking about each individual book

The I am legend book 😂😂😂 I think I’ll read it just to laugh at the scene you laughed at 😂😂😂 I’m sold. Catch 22 has always haunted me but I feel better about not having read it now... something about it just didn’t feel right for me

Honestly give Catch-22 a try sometime but if you’re like 5 chapters in and not enjoying the writing style, be warned that it’s roughly similar all the way throughout

I've tried the Brothers Karamazov but could not get through it, although I'd like to try again. I really enjoyed the plot and was very interested in where it was going/exploring the troubled family dynamics within this time period, but I couldn't get through the philosophizing. He spends CHAPTERS debating the argument for/against separation of church and state and it just got to be a bit much and dry for me. Your description of Cannery Row kind of reminded me of Hemingway's To Have and Have not, so maybe worth checking?

That’s what I’m slightly concerned about, Notes from Underground is a lot of philosophizing as well. And a lot of the time it’s in relation to social issues that were relevant at the time it was written so there was a bit of googling needed from me so I could understand the proper context. I still really enjoyed it and still want to try The Brothers K, but I’m expecting it to take a while 😋 I actually haven’t read To Have and Have Not but yes I honestly can’t recommend Cannery Row enough! It’s not much of a commitment either way because it’s short but it’s such a pleasant read
