HI! So The Outsider (The Stranger) by Albert Camus is also personally my favorite novel! I'm not sure which translation you have, but they all GREATLY vary. I would personally recommend the translation by Stuart Gilbert. It's the one I first read and its an absolutely beautiful translation that simplifies nothing. Either way, I really really hope you enjoy it! Such a heavy existentialist piece, but it's also somehow perfect for summer reading.

So excited! This is my first year ever doing the booktubeathon (this is actually my first ever readathon!) Aah! I was also in Shakespeare and Company recently and I ALSO bought a copy of The Outsider (the same edition) which I got stamped! That's cool to me. Feeling a book connection. I bought my copy because my grandpa went through an existentialist phase when he lived in Paris years ago and I wanted to try and recreate a tiny bit of his life. If that makes sense. So excited for Booktubeathon!

"The Outsider" is really good, Ariel! I've read it in German (Der Fremde) and I adore it! Camus (pronounced Camü) was an existentialist french author. It's really thirlling and a page-turner. If you like it, you should also check out Camus' autobiographical novel "The First Man" - of course apart from his other novels! I'll take a look at Joyride, maybe this will be also my blue-cover-challenge-book.
