@@TheRcSaylors Certainly worth getting the tires from proline that doesn't balloon for speedrunning this if you want a quick solution (At a cost for sure but their quality is fantastic on those.) & perhaps other trucks too give them a bit more fair chance in the future. If you can find these stock tires that aren't glued, you can put gorilla tape in them (or similar heavy duty tape) to force them too kind of retain their shape better & not explode from stretching so far & hitting the ground or something sharp, then its only grip that might become an issue rather then suddenly exploding the tire if its glued down well after that mod with the tape.

Hey guys I love your channel! The tire blow-up because the cars at that moment was only in one wheel then the differential sent twice the RPM to that wheel. That's a common problem with trucks trying to hit high speeds while doing wheelie.

To be honest it looked as simple as it torqued to the right. As it did so, the left rear was ballooning. The second that ballooned tire touched the ground the friction blew it apart. That front right being damaged caused the whole thing to torque weird to begin with. Let's see round 2 with upgrades! Without looking I am assuming this is hobby grade?

@@TheBestOrion nah that's junk toy grade pricing for a truck this size. my tekno mt410 has got about $700 in it and that's a cheaper build. The tires are $100 by themselves. They don't blow off the rims though and it will easily do 70mph. Oh and it runs on 6s.

Michael Mack I did that with gorilla tape, it definitely works just a little difficult to get the wheels off the rims.

@@jamoflys you tube baking your preglued tires off the rim. U put them on a cookkie sheet and bake them.. Look up at what temp but that works ive done it a coupple times it makes the glue soft

Wow! that was some exciting video! Don't be too hard on the quality of the suspension and such...when you have a wheel turning that fast blows putting it suddenly out of balance at that speed, it's bound to rip even metal linkages off the frame!

you need softer front springs and maybe stiffer rear springs, as well as thicker rear shock fluid to help slow the squat effect. Set the preload height higher in the rear as well.

That was insane!! I have the Bison V2 and it's crazy on 3s had it gps going 55mph!! But it's got weak a arm pins and a arms and tires shred way to easy. Unfortunately looks like Vkar made it faster without fixing any of it's faults. Hope you get it fix soon thou. ☺️

I feel your pain with the A arm pins and bushings on the V2, it is engineered badly in that area. I increased the size of mine to 1/8 and that has helped. I haven't had any trouble with my tires though, and I have had mine for a year now.

@@Shortsircut1 I've had mine for 2 and half yrs now. I've gone through 3 a arm pins, 1 a arm and a tire but that's been around 60 runs..Plan on putting jlb axles on it and pro line trenchers soon thou. How did you make yours 1/8 thou?

@@christophercoconis2575 I use 1/8 traxxas pins, they are a little long but are cut shorter easy enough, then I use my drill press and run a 1/8 reamer through the bushings. The bushings give some when reaming so the pin fits snug with no slop. The 1/8 pins are about .011 bigger diameter than the stock 4 mm (I think) pins.

If you tie some thick fishing line around the tires it will keep them from ballooning out so bad. --- I was watching a video on Hwy1 RC channel and they had a car that did over 100 MPH... then hit a curb and pieces flew in every direction.

Wow, that looked like a power overload! Preliminarily it looks like the Bison V3 could handle the 4S battery with better tires. I wonder what options might be available for upgraded tires. If the tire problem could be solved, I wonder if another component would become the weak point that gives out under the 4S power.

Crazy! I don't recommend ever holding one of those monsters again and gunning the throttle! The way that tire came apart, you could get seriously hurt! I was afraid for Abby when she was holding it knowing that front right tire was coming apart! Glad she didn't get hurt!

Nice run Guys! Please be careful with those tiers when doing a balloon test cause they can hurt bad if thy hit you are something. Tips: get a set of belted tires thy don't balloon "Sweeps Road Crushers", add a heavier wt. diff fluid in the center diff that will help keep the front end down on speed runs, and lower your ESC punch settings so it will add full power at a slower rate to help prevent whellies from the start. This is just a suggestion.

I had street nitro cars, glue and tire selection is very important if you do replace them out to go with the pro line or something highend was like that and preferably Street Tire for asphalt and a off-road tire for dirt. That was a really cool video good job guys.✌️

Yeap. It's a bit like having a two speed gearbox when the tires balloon out. To prevent it just requires some higher density foam inserts for the tires.

That was a blow out !! The strange thing was the tire that blew was not on the ground. The only tire on the ground was the right rear. I am not sure the issue was the 4s battery.
