There was always a sense of mystery and even a slightly threatening aurora to Boomerang for me as a kid. It didn’t deter me though, I thought it was edgy and cool. That was the vibe I got from the bumpers that used to play along with the soundtrack.

I'm still a kid but I remember watching the old boomerang every Saturday with my brother and dad, we all hate the new rebrand, the old cartoons were amazing, I came across old sounds, commercials, and short films the other day and I showed my brother and he said he remembers them after all those years. I watched boomerang since I was 3 but I'm sad that it's all gone now 😭

I missed old Boomerang. They actually made me feel excited for watching the old cartoons. It was a great part of my childhood, and I'm sad that they decided to rebrand it with how they do it these days. New Boomerang just feels like Cartoon Network these days, using newer cartoons instead of older cartoons. Heck, they don't even have great bumpers to keep anyone entertained at all. It's just like every other channel. I hope one day, people behind this change will realize this and decide to go back to how Boomerang was. To airing old cartoons which help younger kids appreciate them just as much as I did. As much as we did growing up. For now, old Boomerang will live on, in our hearts. As long as we remember it, it'll never be gone.

I extremely remember this iconic bumper music that Boomerang always play during their mini toy bumpers like before and after the commercials, especially when this channel; before it got rebranded and constantly aired mostly Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes all the time as of now in 2023, even aired reboots that are not considered good, formerly aired all of the Hanna Barbera cartoons and even the retro Cartoon Network shows from 1996 to 2004, and to the part when this channel aired random cartoons that formerly aired on Cartoon Network before as well. I was 4 years old when I saw the old Boomerang. I loved all the Boomerang action figures the old Boomerang showed during a lot of commercial breaks. I even saw the Dexters Laboratory bumpers on the old Boomerang when I was a 4 year old. Now I am 12 years old, and I hate the new Boomerang so much.

Why It Used to Rock. It was focusing on classic cartoons from the WB library, including Warner Bros. Cartoons (Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies), pre-1986 MGM (Tom and Jerry, Droopy, MGM cartoons), DC Comics (Super Friends, Batman, Superman, Justice League, Teen Titans) and Hanna-Barbera productions (Yogi Bear, The Flintstones, The Jetsons), Scooby-Doo!), among many others, and eventually grew into its own separate channel in 2000. It also aired most of the shows for the marathon, such as Boomeraction and Boomerang 10-Day Marathon. Boomerang also airs reruns of Cartoon Network shows such as Dexter's Laboratory, Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, I Am Weasel, and The Powerpuff Girls; and also acquired shows like The Pink Panther Show and Pokémon. Boomerang would also air some films from Warner Bros. as well as other studios during marathons and holidays. Ever since 2004, when the programming block ended, most of the classic shows (with the exception of Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry) moved to Boomerang's main channel, so that Cartoon Network would air new programming. The websites for games and videos were great back then, and the commercials, bumpers and promos were also fun to watch. It even paid to the tribute for the people during the block on Cartoon Network, such as William Hanna, Chuck Jones and Joseph Barbera. Boomerang was also launched in other countries as well, such as Mexico, Brazil, UK, and the rest of Europe.
