no doubt the grandparents loved the boy and cared about him, but their total disrespect toward the father was unacceptable. The biological father, who loved his son with all his heart and could provide a good home, had every right to custody of the boy. So glad the situation worked out for them all.

I thought the same. It is his son - the grandparents should be fighting for the custody.

REAL WORLD: this father would have been granted custody promptly as there were no outstanding issues to prevent him having custody. Glad in this story the kid ended up living with his father, which was the right thing. Old people shd not b raising your kids if the parent is fine.

@@lifechanges557 i know, its BASED on a true story, but how much of the film line is aligned to that true story. Its unfathomable to me how a court could grant custody of the child to grandparents when theres no outstanding evidence of wrongdoing by the father. so that part im thinking is false, ie never happened in the real story, or the film editor glossed over the real fathers deficits, ie they were far worse in the real story than what was portrayed in the film.

I'm so sick of overly involved grandparents.. They always wanna get their grubby hands on children THAT AREN'T THEIRS..!!!!! My husband and i have 3 children with children. 5 grandchildren and 1 on the way. These children see us like grandparents that come around and go home or they come to us and go home. We're as much involved as our children choose us to be , period. Our parents are the overly involved nosey kind.

What happy ending this movie is based on a true story of Hal painter. And he lost to the grandparents in Supreme Court. They had two court rulings first the dad won than the grandparents took him to Supreme Court and won. Mark live with his grandparents in Iowa.

I wonder if Mark grew up to be a goid person eith a good relationship with his father @CyntheinnaSkon
@CyntheinnaSkon9 күн бұрын
@ he never got the chance to develop strong relationship with his own dad due to he was only 4 and the grandparents raised him like there grandson was there own son instead of there grandchild. In 1964 the court made it very difficult for the pool. Rich got everything with power and money and knowing high power people sick. Mark should be what 62 or so now..

Grandparents, should never try to take children away from their parents, they can off to help them if they are having a hard time, they should also let the child stay with them doing the summer, or holydays if they want to, that was the only daughter they had and he should not have used her money to buy a boat.

Social workers took my grandchildren and bought them to me to raise instead of being grateful my daughters hates me.
@isaiahcoleman-s8u12 күн бұрын
@@jacquelinehunt7794 That is because lots of these girls get kids so they can get things from the government, used that money and food stamps to provide for them, the children daddy or her boyfriend who is not working or bring any money into her apartment not saying you daughter is that way but they don't take kids unless there is a good reason.

But sadly the dad did choose to take his own son to the grandparents for 2 years. The little boy mark was only 4… but yes what does grandparents have the right to biological parents

I read the synopsis of movie. If he's the BIOLOGICAL father, he should be able to take his son. Point Blank Period. (Unless there is some concern with abuse or something..) Let me get my tea and watch this.

I'm Not Sure If He Called On The 📞 Telephone First, And Discussed, It First, Or What, But, Yeah, It Is His Son. Cuz, 😅Ai'nt Going To Lie, I Slept Through Alot Of This Film, But, Would Wake, And See More, And More, Sooh, Just Glad, It Worked Out, Especially, When, His Memories, Started With Dad And Mom, Ect., Sooh Yeah. Excellent Movie, Though, Except, For Moms Dying Trajedy 😭. But, The Movie, As A Matter Of Fact: Was An Excellent True Life Factual, Depict, That Really Happened!!!

@CyntheinnaSkon10 күн бұрын
This story happened in 1962. Hal’s wife and daughter got killed in a car crash both died instantly. Hal couldn’t take care of his own son mark age 4.. So he took his son to his wife’s parents. In 1964 Hal got remarried. They drove to Iowa to get his son. The grandparents took Hal to court. And lost. Angry they took Hal to supreme courts and they won. wtf 🤬 parents has every legal rights to there own children except molesting and evil torture on there children otherwise it should be family members otherwise butt out of there live. The judge who made the final ruling decision shouldn’t never been hired as a judge… He ruined one family happiness and lives because one had more money 💴 money isn’t everything.. our babies happiness and there smile means more than any money
@vesnahill44410 күн бұрын
What rights did the grandparents have over the boy if the boy's father signed no paper giving any legal rights to any third party?
@CyntheinnaSkon10 күн бұрын
@ definitely but the supreme court’s are corrupted and they had money … So the grandparents won in the end little mark lived with his grandparents as his parents instead of grandparents that is disturbing and most been confusing for a 4 year old
