@noemibarrios4056 yes if you are watching it directly from the original source. We do not know if this is a VHS vs DVD or how it was uploaded onto KZbin. If you watch an old VHS on a VHS player and use a TV that isn't widescreen/HD enabled etc the quality will be quite a lot better than to watch it after it has been recorded onto a device and then shared and watched on televisions that are more modern. You chose to watch something free then don't complain about it imo 😂

Having multiple family members in law enforcement, as well as my father, and husband who is a sex crimes detective I can tell you it has never been safe for our children.. this isn’t a ‘it was a different time’ argument.. people were just not as privy to it and the media didn’t share as much nationally about crimes such as these then.. they stayed local. The internet has made it worse too & raised more awareness to how much crime and evilness is around.. This movie was in the 1990s.. 1986 is when the actual crime took place.. I was 13 then. At any given time there are many twisted minded people around you, your children etc. growing up in the 1980s & 90s my mom was a helicopter parent and I thank her for it.. having a child in early 2000s then my second in 2013.. I’m following my mom’s advice and doing the same. My children count on me to protect them and I’ll do anything and everything to do that.

30 Years ago there was a clear separation between adults and children, that line of separate was in the form of respect. In this movie children addressed adults by Mr., Ms., Mrs. and back then, the separation was clearly defined and respect was earned. Now adays they treat children as adults and adults like children. Our society is so screwed up. There are over 600,000 people that go missing, later found dead, each year in the United States and still our family court system views divorce as a joke, a form of community entertainment. This is a true story, keep that in mind. Although the quality of a movie has changed, the quality of life in the United States is certainly not the same quality as it was 30 Years Ago.
@Tamara-id1pe2 ай бұрын
The quality of life may have changed for many, I’m not sure as my mom worked two jobs to keep a roof over our heads and we still struggled to buy food and pay the light bill, however, there are not 600,000 people missing and murdered in the US each year. Out of the average 600,000 missing person reports each year, 99% are resolved. 30 years ago was the same. In 1985 they were concerned about the number of abductions being reported by various groups causing panic in parents and negatively impacting how children are being raised. One missing and murdered person is too much, especially when that person is an innocent child like this, but the world is awful enough without making it 90 times worse than it is

We all do. Our brothers, fathers, mothers, nieces, cousins, neighbour's, teachers, babysitters....no one raises their kid alone, no one is 24h a day with their kids. Even your husband was a stranger when you met him. These people are great actors and can hide their true identity and place a facade that seems trustworthy. Our kids were safe, not because we were more vigilant, but because we had the chance to not have one of these people around or if around, chose our child, or teen or who ever. In this world there is evil everywhere, not only in bad neighborhoods or at night or even with strangers. We can do our best, pray for protection, but in the end, we have no power. But we can't live afraid all the time, we would go nuts. So we do our best and pretend we are safe, so we can enjoy life. Unfortunately, some people are the unfortunate ones, like this young girl.

A lot of parents don't watch their children these days. Look at all the 2, 3, and 4 yr-olds that wander off, and are found drowned in a pool, or 2 or 3 yr-olds that are run over by their own parents, hurrying to leave the house. I was born at the end of 1966 and although growing up I had a lot of freedom to go out and play, my parents would certainly not have let me out on the roads on a bike at the age this child was (what is first grade, about five?), especially before I could even ride it without stabilisers. I wasn't allowed to ride my bike on the road until I'd passed my cycling proficiency test when I was about nine or ten. If that was the case back in the seventies surely it wasn't normal just a decade later for little girls to be sent out of the house by themselves on a wobbly bicycle in the vague hope that they'd reach their destination?

You are absolutely right! ✅️ I appreciate your thoughts. I am from the older generation as well (I miss those TV sets!). It's true. These days, people don't appreciate what they have... they want more and more objects, because that is what they value in life. Try to tell them that there are people in other countries that have absolutely nothing, and they'll just wave away their hand at you and walk away! Well, I guess I'm getting too dramatic here!😅Have a good day, and God Bless You❣️ ✨️🙏🕊✝️

@tvigil880 No I greatly appreciated. What you said wasn't too dramatic at all. In fact, you reminded me of a phrase that people used to use all the time in an early 90s. Late 80s around me waving their hand saying, talk to the hand talk to the hand that always annoyed me so much. God bless you and you have a beautiful day.

yes very good movie. that is why a lot of cases go cold and unsolved because cops suffer from tunnel vision. they are anxious to solve a case they waste time chasing wild geese

Why would you let a little girl, that small, go off riding a bike by herself in the first place? Sorry, I blame the mom!
@tvigil88019 күн бұрын
I completely agree. I would've NEVER let my children go off walking or riding by themselves at age 5.🤦♀️

My mom let me go play when I was her age. In fact, we weren’t allowed inside until lunch time or dinner time. It was just a different time back then.

I grew up during the 60's & 70's, and my children grew up during the 80's & 90's, and there's ALWAYS been kidnappings. And now, more than ever, it's scary to leave your children alone, teenagers too, because of human trafficking that sell victims for prostitution!! All parents should have talks with all their children.

Why didn't the parent(s) accept it was their fault too?
