The Aussies were robbed against Spain in Rio......absolutely shafted. That loss was hard to accept because of the ref basically cheating us out of a medal. What a c**t. When we won the bronze in Tokyo, I cried with Gazey and I'm tearing up now.....what a moment.

How could anyone not love Andrew Gaze? He is the soul of Aussie basketball. Thanks for the upload!!

He is the best and he knows how important it is to honour the legacy of those who faught for decades to establish basketball in Australia - including his incredibly hard working father.

"Time to bring back an Olympic medal . . . to hang it up at Mum and Dad's house." Never forgot where he came from. Love Patty Mills, love this moment, love Australia. This was the brightest moment in a bleak year.

Time have long passed since this. But as a Duel-Citizen Aussie-American, this was arguably the most emotional moment for me in the Olympics especially with basketball. And with both US and Australia on the podium, this was icing on the cake.

Not gonna lie, I watched this campaign live every game and shed a few tears when they won the bronze. It was a monumental moment for us, our basketball community, and our country.

Australian basketball is constantly on the up and up but this was history and extremely special especially considering the hope, blood sweat and tears that a lot of the squad had previously gone through before this magnificent achievement. Can't wait till next world cup and Olympics.

That medal meant so much to the Boomers, after being denied so cruelly in Rio I was so pleased they went one better. Plus whose to say they won’t go better than this in Paris?
