So proud of the boomers effort,every single player played their role and I feel they will go gold or silver next time round.

Well done pioneers! I’m sure you are all very proud of the effort of your fellow Australians. We are beyond proud too! The Americans may have the gold medal, but the Boomers have stole the show! To have Paddy Mills have the honour of being the flag bearer was amazing and he didn’t let anyone down! He’s an inspiration for young athletes, and a perfect ambassador for the indigenous community. Thank you!

I've been trying to find footage of a Sydney Kings game circa 1988-89 when they played at either Homebush indoor sports centre or in Canberra against the Canons. In this particular game Damien Keogh gets ejected and some guy comes from the crowd and head butts threo Keogh, splitting his nose open. Absolute chaos! I'd love to watch that game again one day!

YES, agreed. The story was engrossing, the music consistently annoying.

All I can say is.... Scott Fisher was garbage! Should never have worn the jersey.
@CStyleRecords6 жыл бұрын
Amen. He wore the jersey, then went back to the USA to live. So much for being an Aussie.
@aussiesurfer8054 жыл бұрын
@@CStyleRecords I’m guessing you two are both supporters of NBL clubs that Fish torched at some stage and rubbed the salt into your wounds whilst doing that - he certainly loved stirring up dumb fan boys like you two ... He is, without any doubt or controversy, one of the greatest players in the history of Australian basketball, and earned the right to be an easy selection for his adopted country towards the end of his long, highly respected and decorated career in Aust. Thus is supported by all those with a technical understanding of elite level b/ball and anyone of any significance within the Aust. basketball community ... which is probably lost on a couple of mid-week playing fan boys like you.both .. I’m also not sure why you would criticise a guy for moving house so he can earn a living and satisfy the needs of his wife and family... Is every Aussie that has ever moved overseas, for whatever reason, no-good in your books ? Crikey, you must hate a lot of people. hopefully since the two years of your post you have grown up some, and know more about basketball and life in general ...

@@aussiesurfer805 Not doubting his playing ability what so ever. Why did he become an 'aussie' then, and now lives back in the USA?. DUH!.
@aussiesurfer8054 жыл бұрын
@@hunterregiondj4904 Hey dude - I know my reply was long (I was a little drunk at the time of writing - I do freely admit), but the answers you seek are indeed presented within the very same and aforementioned reply .... I can lead you to water, but alas I can’t make you drink. Nor can I make you comprehend a few sentences written in English, nor help you understand the complexities of living an adult life, what with its infinite “sliding door moments” and all .. Am I disappointed Fish didn’t stay in WA? As a b/ball fan who enjoys looking back in history from time to time, of course I am. However it’s not for me, you or anyone to judge somebody else’s very personal decisions made at their own sliding door moments .. provided of course such sliding door decision making is indeed made in good faith and with good intention .... So there ya go young fella ... a few gems there for you to ponder, perhaps in the late arvo when you friends have gone home and just before mom calls you in for dinner -- Oh no, there’s no need to tip me for these, they’re really quite basic; but still so very important - So consider them a gift from me to you , ... Ya know - just to get you started on you’re own journey of maturity and enlightenment .... .. the best of luck to you young pup, now off you go and play with your friends - ya young scallywag .. ...
