PowerXL xl self cleaning Juicer

I just bought this same juicer (my first ever juicer) and THANK YOU for the video. Before I started juicing I read the manual followed the instructions and proceeded to juice my lemons. The machine about jumped off the counter. Scared the dickens out of me. I thought I was doing something wrong. I read the manual AGAIN tried cutting the citrus up into wedges and still the machine jerked violently when I put the wedges in. I tried placing the wedges in slowly and adjusting the speed with still the same result. I figure the machine does not like lemons. Seeing your video made me laugh but mostly made me feel better that the issue isn’t operator error.

We had a masticating juicer and a Aicook centrifugal juicer like this one kzbin.infoUgkxXHNfxr6U9XrHQpsdjUrKNVP231BfS9q9 Both of them made about the same amount of juice.The Aikcook one died in 3 weeks haha. China brand. LolSo we bought this one since at least we knew the brand name and it was about the same price.Imagine our surprise when we make two 16 oz cups of celery juice and have leftover celery. We juiced it and made almost another cup! Same thing happened with our cucumber juice. So it's about 20 - 30 % more juice than our other two juicers including the masticating cold press one!The motor is so much stronger on this one than the Aikcook. It sucks in the vegetables and spits them out like it's angry.I've only had it a few days so don't know how long it will last but all the plastics and interior is much stronger and better made than the other two we had. If it breaks, I can buy a new one with the savings in vegetable bill. Haha.This literally is going to save me about 60- 80 bucks a month because of the juice output. No one likes to waste food.Update! It broke in 8 days. Motor started freaking out. I'm going to get another of them and try my luck because I really really want this one to be the one.

Omg...thank you, thank you for this video. Hubby bought the juicer over a year now and I am just opening it up. I seriously used it with the rubber on as the manual did not even mention it and I guess that why it kept sticking. It is such a loud and dancing juicer ..I agree with the "jet engine" sounding comparison and seriously I literally felt like a wrestler trying to pin it down to the table. LOL. ... Btw this how-to use video is RAD and the rappaport between you both is errrthang... Thanks a mil.😊

I’ve watched several videos on this juicer and you were the 1st person to mention the rubber on the blade and what to do. I experienced everything that you did. Worked best for me on #2 speed. Thank you very much👍🏼

......the rubber piece on the blade is there to help clean to machine when you put it on cleaning mode. Please read the manual. Lol

I'm having the same issue with the XL. It violently jerks with harder veggies. I have an old Juiceman juicer that doesn't do that. I still have to take it apart to clean it.

she took off the rubber which was suppose to clean the strainer. It does not clean the whole machine but it does clean the strainer. Do not remove the rubber off the blade. reading is fundamental.

Yeah, the Omega Slow Juicers are the best, and easiest to clean juicers on the market. Like the 8006 model for example, but they have come out with much better models, with a wider chute since that one.

I just found a PowerXL model SHL90-SC juicer in the trash, that’s never been used! (No food debris, and the blade protector was still in it) This model is similar to yours, except it’s one speed. Mine is missing the pulp discharge bin and instructions. Maybe the previous owner saw your video, and got too scared and chucked it. Anyway, I’ll look for the missing parts in the dumpster tomorrow.

I have one and according to directions the rubber cover on the self cleaning blade stays on. You take it off to clean blade and put back on.. I personally haven't taken it off yet.. It also take a few minutes to wash it wasn't hard at all. It also suggests to move the skin of citrus fruits. This works well for me being a first time juicer. And I reuse the pulp in my shakes.

Hi, funny video. I would highly recommend an Omega Slow Juicer. They are one of the best juicers on the market, and they are the easiest to clean juicers in the market. Takes maybe 2 minutes to clean after finishing, and has very few parts.

I was all set to buy it because when I saw the infomercial they had a Big slice of pineapple with the skin on it it didn't jump it didn't sound that loud they was putting whole apples in it so I've heard this before that when they having advertisements a lot of the times they make the best one just so you can buy all the other ones I'm on the 16th come so I would have been really mad if I bought that I'm so glad that you guys showed it on KZbin and now my search continues on for decent juicer thank you so much for sharing

hey thanks for doing this i was tossing up the two and seen the xl for the cleaning which i can see it does not . have you ever jucied a raw beet wow its almost like alcohol there that potent . i had an old juiceman that probably would have gotten more jucie than that provided and kinda thing the spinach could have provided more also . but thanks again . . how hard is it to clean the brevile

This company is false advertising when they say it is " self cleaning" I just bought mine and I had to take it apart in order to get all the pulp removed. I am regreting getting rid of my old one which had a one step to clean. I might return this one and I am giving thumbs down simple because it takes a lot of time to leave it clean after used. so Glad you didn't get your thumb cut!!! Thank you for making this video.

The concept of this machine seems brilliant. Who wouldn't want a self-cleaning juicer when the clean-up is everyone's nightmare?? Unfortuantely the company has a lot more work to do in testing before they can claim to have a clean function. I'll stick with my Breville and happily do the scrubbing with the brush they include with all their juicers. :D

It might take 2 minutes to read the instruction manual but it'll save so much in terms of efficiency and proper machine maintenance and care! We usually end up spending more time trying to figure it out ourselves and might get it wrong and damage something (the silicone guard on the self cleaner blade is not supposed to be removed during use, you scraped your screen a bit) Why you did this! Bad! Lol I can't remember how many times I've mot read the manual and damaged something or had a blooper where it didn't seem to work properly or seemed to be a POS and it turns out there were bold capitalized 500 font italicized letters that said "DO NOT DO THIS WHILE OPERATING OR YOU WILL RUIN EVERYTHING" , or "DO THIS CERTAIN THING BEFORE OPERATING OR YOU WILL RUIN EVERYTHING" or, "DO/DONT DO THIS CERTAIN THING AFTER OPERATING OR WHILE CLEANING OR YOU WILL RUIN EVERYTHING". It's worth taking the moment to read the manual, if your goal was to be entertaining theb you did a great job, I genuinely thought it was hilarious how you were so lackadaisical about it and laughing at the crazy stuff happening, I also decided I would watch the video for its entertainment value and absolutely not be using it as a comprehensive user guide :P

My XL experience was the same. I agree the Breville did not jump with the citrus. I have the same Breville that is on her counter and juice beets, carrots, celery, citrus, ginger, and turmeric regular without issue. My XL experience like the reviewer was the same effect just messier.

I got one for free and it did perform similarly and s scared me too when it hit noisy and vibrated on the countertop. I tried to see what made it wobble too and found nothing. I was only juicing carrots and apples. It did juice very well when it worked. It doesn’t self clean ‘clean’. It still needs hand cleaning. I don’t particularly like this product.
