Neil, I’ve been following you when you were doing rv reviews. Your reviews were the best ones on youtube in my opinion. It’s nice to see you guys traveling now. Life is short & you guys should travel as much as possible. My wife, our little dog Carter & I will be hitting all of the national parks in the US when we retire in about 7 yrs. I just started editing for my channel & i know it’s a lot of work. Very frustrating at first trying to figure out how to do it & wich edititing software makes life easier. Keep it coming if it does not burn you out. Btw...the fire down here in SoCal is bad too. Smoke & ashes everywhere. Ashes is all over my car, truck & trailer. Be safe & take care! Andy The T is my wife Tammi, that is how we came up with TANDY. LOL!

Thank you, Neil and Jun, for this sumptuous video escape of some of our favorite California stops. Your previous, more technical discussions of Class B RVs were instrumental in our December purchase of a 2021.5 Ascent TS - sight unseen (The previous buyer backed out one week prior to its delivery to an Oregon dealership, and we happily took over the purchase without the 10-month wait). Since you have the CEO’s attention, please address the removal of the window in the bathroom (claustrophobic!) and the lack of counter space in the kitchen: the counter extensions were removed and even the sink cover has open slats. While our PW personal assistant describes them as “design” changes, I suspect they represent a push for more economical ways to meet high public demand for their product. Despite these unfortunate alterations, we have been enjoying learning about our new RV and look forward to more of your inspiring videos. Thank you for all the research, integrity and professionalism they represent.

I really enjoyed your video. Ive always wanted to see you out and about in the van, sharing some of your on the road adventures. Your videography is great but...(haha don’t worry Ill be watching where ever you take your channel ) I’ve realized your style and method of speech are comforting and so personable, it’s welcoming and draws a person towards you and your conversation. IMHO, you have a great personal style and it is what makes your videos uniquely yours, independent of any subject. Of course this is just me being selfish. Your personal need for a change up in the channel (in Life), is understandable, well, just human. So I hope your new adventures are fun and the new avenues you explore all lead to your happiness. Neil - so great to have you back, have missed seeing your videos. For years we have spent so much time reviewing RV’s, it’s so wonderful to see what life is really like boondocking and living in a van. This is validation that I truly want to do this. I’ll probably have to wait much longer now though. Like so many people around the world, COVID-19 has had devastating affects on my life. I’ve lost so many colleagues and friends in the healthcare industry, then I lost my job, and now I’m losing my home. Never in my wildest dreams did I think working in healthcare that I could be laid off. Kicking myself for not buying that van, at least I would have had kept a home. Now I’m living off unemployment and savings, which may set me back years, maybe longer. You look well and rested and it’s wonderful to see you again. Please keep the amazing videos coming, they are a wonderful respite.

You’ve really hit your stride here! Between the two of you you have created something really lovely. On one of your very first travel videos you were parked along the shore and kept enjoining us to look at the sunset, so lovely. By the third time I wanted to reach into the screen and say, “Neil, you’re showing us. You don’t also have to tell us.” This time you obviously have the right equipment matched with skillful smooth-transition editing, allowing the wonderful scenery to speak for itself. Just the occasional view of your happy faces plus the helpful subtitles show who and where. Perfect!

Very nicely done video work. It's been several years since I last traveled this route. It was actually during a 2008 fire in Paradise, Calif. (the same Paradise that totally burned in 2018) when I was repeatedly trying to escape the smoke by going to the coast a few times for a "breathing break". I just recently was evacuated (mandatory evacuation order) from east Oroville due to the same lightening strikes that caused multiple fires in northern Calif. and which totally burned the small town of Berry Creek just a few miles east of Oroville. We ended up in another temporary evacuation center "Camp Gridley Fair Grounds". We lost our home in the Paradise fire, and thought we would also lose our new home near Oroville due to this fire. Just yesterday we were able to open our doors and windows for fresh air after being "smoked in" for over a month due to this fire.

Hi Neil - I’ve been wanting to share this exciting news if you already hadn’t heard. You may recall my passion for smaller vans (particularly the VW), but with that seemingly never going to happen the MBZ Metris is something I’ve kep on eye on for awhile. Finally MBZ has announced a partnership to sell campers direct to the public in partnership with two other companies. There are 3 versions, a plain pop top for a “project van” (my personal interest), a weekender, and full camper conversion identical to the iconic VW camper. My frustration with the VW layout is it’s 50 years old? Finally Westfalia has come out with a great new interior layout that includes a shower and toilet. It’s called the Jules Verne. Here are some links to what I have found. I could get just the pop top for the “project” and perhaps have someone like George from Humble Road do the Jules Verne layout. He has started his own business. These vans are identical in length. Layout of the Jules Verne - kzbin.info/www/bejne/hXnXmJ15prh3gbM. And the article about the partnership - www.peacevansmodern.com/mercedes-partnership. This would make for the ultimate daily driver and the mobility would be on a whole new level. For a single person like myself it’s perfect. I’d sacrifice the creature comforts for the mobility.
