Back when I first played new vegas on console Boone was my first companion, loved how strong he was for my first blind run, but when he started to open up as time went on it surprised me, back then I had never seen that level of character design in a game, and to the teen I was ten years ago it felt like a movie or show you could influence.

I can imagine in post-independent ending FNV, me and Boone basically create the most lethal strike force to avenge Carla in spirit. What he needed was enough wall of guns and ammunition to blast those legion, kind of like Rhodesian Fireforce tactic during Bush War. Basically make the best Search and Rescue team that can do damage and get the heck out of there. Otherwise I keep blaming him for killing his own wife. And cheering him for that Bitterspring massacre was not his fault, more like manslaying charge than murder. But the situation with his wife can be solved much better if only he has more resources. Something that my new state will provide so that others would not fall victim.

@@apsoypike1956 Well my view on what constitute as murder is kinda closer to contemporary legal institution. Basically what Boone did at Bitterspring can be considered as involuntary manslaughter. What Boone did at Carla is involuntary euthanasia at best, at worst is unspecific degree of murder. No malice but still, taking someone's life unlawfully. The idea is that my Courier would talk to Boone if only he has more resource, it could be done like Nelson: liberating the town from the legion without even need to mercy kill the crucified NCR soldiers.

Boone is a bit of a cliche, and a video game go to character - the brooding morose soldier with a dark past. The Byronic anti-hero type. It kind of just writes itself. It's not bad, just very video gamey and comic booky. Now Arcade Ganon is a much more realistic person. He reacts realistically to the world and condemns everything bad he sees. As such he's MUCH more annoying and I can't stand him.
