I had a quest one, and just upgraded and omg I love it. The menu looks so much better like you are looking at a nice phone screen and the camera even though it is still kinda blurry, it is in color so you can fully see your surroundings

Wait until they fix the tracking issue on Quest 3. We use our Quest 2s over our Quest 3s because the tracking on them is so bad, even after several updates. Might even be a hardware issue they won’t be able to fix with a software update

The picture is definitely not HD, but darn it the different atmospheres you can create feel so incredible! It really does feel like you're watching on an enormous screen. It doesn't give you that nauseous unsteady feeling that moving around in games can give you.

I used this meta 3 for the first time yesterday and man I was mind blown. The display that pops up is so realistic. How realistic? I had my virtual display set up in front of me on top of a ottoman. My kids were horseplaying around nearby and my son fell onto the display. I panicked and blocked him from hitting my display only to realize it was a virtual display set on top of my ottoman and not a monitor. Also tried the free asgard 2 game that came with it and wow. One h3ll of a game and experience. I just barely scratched the surface of all it has to offer. Will definitely have to dedicate this weekend to playing with this meta 3

I just bought one a few days ago and there are plenty of augmented aka mixed reality programs or videos. Do you not own one yourself? Obviously the quality isn't as good as maybe apple vision pro if that's what you mean. That's more of a daily consumer, everyday use type situation where as the quest is more of a gaming/entertainment device.

As a Meta Quest 3 owner if you think that's amazing modify the head strap and give it a bluetooth keyboard. You won't even NEEED a laptop and can do your tasks privately inside the comfort of your Mixed Reality headset. I would pair to mobile hotspot if you wanna take it outside and explore I wish it would pair directly to your phone display and augment the information instead of using the Meta Ray Bands.

I love mine! Excellent purchase. You definitely want to upgrade the headstrap immediately though. I got a Kiwi one on Amazon for like $30 or so, and it works great!

The only big problem with VR, as an adult, is if you live with your wife and kids. She's gonna get mad. The kids are gonna destroy the house, which means she is gonna get mad. You forgot to swap the laundry on the weekend... she's mad. The sink is full of dishes. Shes pissed.

Even with the Quest 2, they are able to be streamed to the TV. I haven't tried it. I only looked it up because a sibling had a concussion, and I really didn't want her to sell it because of that.
