If you’re a felon go sign up for your local electric union or steamfitters or whatever trade. I know a lot of people in Local 26 that are felons, you just can’t get security clearances to get on base and certain government buildings. Love Boosie and Vlad interviews yall are speaking straight facts. Now I never understood why a person can't get an apartment or purchase a home or why does a job care if you have a record that's why a lot of people don't change because they are given the chance to do so cause they are getting criticized and this person has made a change but we will never know cause not given the same opportunity.

Well...I think they try to deter people from being arrested. I guess they figure if they keep giving things back people won't stop breaking the law. I understand Boosie frustration, I don't understand both his and Vlads lack of awareness that all state laws are not the same. Restoration of Civil Rights varies by state. As a convicted felon (1998), myself, living in The State of Washington, My voting rights were automatically restore after completion sentence. My gun rights were restored after I applied for them. The only issue I've ever had after my conviction, was traveling to China for the 2008 Olympics. Flying from Seattle to Vancouver, BC, to make my connection to China. Canadian Immigrations detained me for sometime, grilling me about my past. Was realeased and escorted to my flight to ensure I wasn't attempting to enter Canada illegally. Never lost a job, nor housing due to having a felony! After 7 years most employers no longer ask questions about prior criminal past!
