@ I would put SSD’s in this like u said. Not a big fan of spinning disk drives.

Well, for storage, its just going to sit there, mechanical to me is the way to go, but I would never put one in my system, ever again at least, in a NAS, its preferred. I never had one go back in a Synology (I have used Synology for over 7 years at my previous job), then in my Terramaster, 3 years. SSD's have a much shorter Read/Write life time, the drives they recommend on Synologys site, I have it in the description, will las longer than regular SSD's, but I would still prefer mechanical. Also easier to recover if there is an issue.

@@ThisBytesForYou I would put two M.2 SSD's for the cache and the HDD's to store whatever I want. If that makes sense.

yeah that makes perfect sense, I hope to work out a few more deals with Synology, they wanted me to review another thing, but this would be more for my mom, so great for parents, or grand parents. i will see how to work some M.2 SSD's as well.

Synology is the leader in NAS devices, Terra-Master is more budget friendly, which isn't but there is a difference in performance.

Thats a great case, I just recommended it to someone this week I think. You could get one of these, that will split off a USB 2.0 header into 2 ports, which is what you need, off of my Amazon affiliate link: geni.us/EBtq4pA
