The circlip installation tool from Stomski Rackng is an absolute must. Makes it so easy to install the wrist pin and circlip.

yep putting them clips in is an pain in the ..... i have lost 1-2 as they spring out on a kart engine piston. :( i know the frustration..

Ugh, my thumbs can feel your pain from here! CP piston has a similar clip and man are they a p.i.t.a. Excited to see the two halves come together. I'm the same as you guys, done multiple v8, 6 and 4cyl of all sorts, other then flats haha.

You need a special tool for installing the wrist pin clips. And if you mess it up you have to break it all back down and start over again.

Obi-Wan Kenobi ours id an S. We spun a rod bearing, assuming due to rod bolt stretch

Currently rebuilding a cayman s in Ireland also had a spun bearing. I am a mechanic for 10 years now, 1st flat engine build tho. Your videos are a great help if only for the fact that I know I'm, not the only one getting stuck along the way. Hoping to see another video soon. I have pistons 1,2,3 in, con rods 4,5,6 in about to assemble the two blocks. Wondering where I will get the tool for inserting gudgeon and spring clip if you had any info on the best ones or where to get the tool it would be much appreciated. Also well done on the entertaining channel.

Good question... We are currently trying to track down a parts diagram for the engine so that we can inventory everything we have. With the engine being torn apart when we got it, we have no idea what we do and don't have. Finding all this info is proving to be a bit difficult!

They are 19x9.5 and 19x11. They really need to be refinished and one of the front wheels is bent (but repairable). I’m sure Zach would sell them but they definitely need some work! The fronts don’t run a spacer, the backs run a 10mm (roughly) spacer

@@BoostBrothersGarage cool! The TPC kit always had a kind of seemed like it used a weird non name turbo. Why an M96 as opposed to an M97?

I’m not sure what came with it originally, but it’s got a Garrett GT4xxx now. The M96 is strictly because we found a partially built engine (already sleeved and headwork done) for stupid cheap, couldn’t pass it up! It should be marginally easier to make work with an aftermarket ECU as well.
