Depends what you're looking for and your riding experience. If there are a lot of hills I would say boosted. Customer service boosted. M1 kills it in design, swappable battery, less maintenance, and future hub upgrades.

EcoHyper I can't fault you for wanting a more flex ride but to say it's an overall better design is a stretch. M1 can be a tough ride on rough roads and sidewalks but it's very stable. I don't want to bounce around because I'm not a true skateboarder and want the stability. M1 is way cleaner. Boosted looks like a longboard that was made into an electric skateboard. Something I could create in my garage. M1 was designed to be an electric skateboard by its look. Future upgrades as promised by Inboard will only make the board better.

Xavier McLachlan I would suggest watching the CEO Ryan Evan's Q and A video. The wheels are motors. Swap the wheels change the motor. Better battery tech, swap the battery.

I just bought an M1 board like 2 weeks ago. I absolutely love it. Everything in your review is spot on. I've ridden both boards and the m1 is heavier then their claims by a smidge. It feels tanky and responsive carving. When I rode the boosted board it was fun, scary torquey (which is awesome) but sometimes felt squirrely over uneven paths. Just to add some other details for those considering purchasing, I realistically ride my M1 board about 5 miles; up a lot of inclines too, in the fastest setting, before the battery starts going. Id like to conduct a test where I try to ride consuming the least of battery to see how far along it'll take a grown ass 190lb man. I won't feel too confident using it solely for commuting until I get a 2nd battery.

The inboard M1 can function as a normal skateboard when the battery is dead the boosted can't. And with quick change batteries the mileage is unlimited as to what you can carry in batteries. I have six.

Thanks for the Video. I bought the Halo board for my first board and I couldn't test electric board from my area first. What a disappointment, the board rides very nicely. great speed and range but the quality of craftmanship was a bit let down. The wheels were breaking down within a week of riding, it died in 8 days due to hitting a puddle and after repairs, i lost 6 screws in one ride. The big draw was the hub motors, how long does a belt last for you? since i had been considering the Inboard for just that feature.

you should ride with the NYC e boarding crew, they ride on pretty much everything (i've seen leif's, trampa builds, evolve, etc.) great video tho man, quite in-depth and on point.

I think someone that has been riding longboards before eboards will appreciate a hub motor over a belt drive system. Bombing hills is still the best part of longboarding, and it saves battery when you can bomb a hill without the help of the motor!

FYI...if you live in NYC, Paragon Sports on Broadway and 18th has demo boards you can try out in the store (you can only ride them in the store about 20ft back and forth, but its better than nothing)

Hey Sam! great review man! I have the inboard. My commute in the morning was about 8 miles of flat bike path (id swap batteries around mile 5). Inboard was awesome. But when Im in SF all I see are boosted, they do much better with lots of stop lights and hills! just another factor to help people decide! 👍🤜🍺

Saw you on Caseys video! Really great review man, I do reviews myself but from PC stuff :P Butl... I do ride an electric longboard EVERYDAY! Mine is the Yuneec E-GO. It is AMAZINGLY good. I was super bummed about Boosted not being available in EU.. East Europe but then I found out about Yuneec and it cost only 700€. I was really skeptical about getting it but after riding it... INSTANT LOVE! I had never riden a longboard before.. 1 day of skateboarding prior... and first day I rode the Yuneec while sitting down and later standing up but going super slow :D after a week I was at full speed and have no riden it over a YEAR... almost everyday! It is an awesome replacement for Boosted, 30km range is epic.. though it really does suck that you get only 20km\h... though... for first half year I thought it is enough :P higher then that and you start breaking bones when falling.. but.. I havent fell ONCE... not a single crash lol.. from a total newb in skating.. although I think my Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 skills finally came out haha. Anyway, great review, I might do a review on Yuneec and Boosted once Boosted becomes available. :) though.. 1400 dollars is still insane amount of money :(

Boosted also has those mod connections under the trucks, which hopefully we'll see some use for in the future maybe head and tail lights or some sort or auto break system that will send you off the board flying xD who knows it's there to be used and yet no one is talking about it.

Do you find that the flexibility of the Boosted board vs the Inboard's stiffness translates into a smoother ride over minor road bumps and less likelihood for a beginner to lose balance or feel foot/leg fatigue while on it, esp in urban settings like your NYC?

You can make a lot of friends with the boosted board it’s so loud people will wanna talk to you. I love it it goes up my hills like a beast. I use it to go to the stores near my house and it’s very hilly so it’s amazing how I can get there and come home and not even be tired.

If you're pushing to start, wouldn't inboard be better? I want to push to start to conserve range, and I've actually owned a Boosted Board V1 for a week. That thing was NOT fun to push at all. Is there any resistance to pushing an inboard? Also - what about maintenance? Boosted has amazing customer service. What about Inboard?

I think using regualar skateboard wheels on these electric boards is a huge mistake. Given the power output, they should be using custom low-profile rubber tires with road treads for improved traction.

Interesting.. I'd like to know what veterans think about someone getting an electric board because of the appeal of having breaks mainly. There are lots of hills by me and I like the idea of not feeling restricted by them. Pretty novice rider but I'm not completely new either. If I were to buy a fancier board with some sort of hand break, it's just end up getting into electric board price anyway I'd think.

Love the video but I feel like the fact when the board dies and you have to push needed to be brought up. Which one is better? Just thought that should've been a key factor ya know? Bc I think we can all agree, no matter how easy the battery is to replace we're gonna either forget to charge the battery or forget to bring another battery so you'll be stranded with no juice and will have to push ride.

Evolve Carbon GT AND Evolve bamboo GT wins on both range, speed and acceleration by a large margin. + all terrain tires on both. Boosted wins on customer service, remote (personal opinion but i think its meh). Same price for bamboo and boosted. Evolve is better value for money.

I'll sacrifice board flex because I am not a skateboarder and it will be my main commute around LA. 30 MILES on a single charge.?!?!
