Got a 98 Tahoe I’m rebuilding a 4 bolt main L31 for and you guys are giving me ideas haha. Mine will have long tubes, bigger cam and tune. Does that intake keep all the sensors and other little fiddly shit that you have to hook to the stock one to not throw codes? What injector rails are you running with it?

Most people spray the piss out of those Vortec 350s, keep the AFR in the 10s and you are fine. If you plan on 20psi I would throw big injectors in it and E85

First off thanks for the video and all the input, you guys know your shit but if you use the 4wd sooner or later the tail end of that trans is going to crack, they're know to crack just by towing thats why the 97 or 98 models on up now have the 6bolt upgraded tailend on them and if you go with the ls you might want to upgrade the fuel system to a later model cause they use a better sending for more fuel pressure, my 2dr is a 96 and I upgraded all these on mine, if you upgrade the trans youll have to upgrade the transfer case and computer also cause they slightly different and the newer models had the 4high added on so changing all the above you'll need the newer model harness I almost forgot to mention, once again thanks for the videos I'm enjoying them and learning more

You must only be looking at the transfer case adapter end, I'm talking bout the end of the trans itself has six bolts, on the newer trans gm used a six bolt tail housing end on the trans wich made it stronger, I seen yours in the video of installing the trans it only has 4bolt on the trans and thats where they break, and you can also tell the difference in the adapter cause the 4bolt to 6bolt is steel and the 6bolt to 6bolt is a diecast aluminum piece

Watch the timing chain. Go double roller if you can. Also watch for sticking poppets in the spider injection. Do a ramjet intake swap if you can.
