In this video we show how to stop squeaking doors on your 2009-2018 RAM truck. This is the same for all 4th gen Dodge RAM trucks including 1500 2500 and 3500 models as long as it is the same body style.
The noise is caused by the roller on the hinge not being lubricated and once you lubricate the post that the roller spins on your noisey door will go away!

Oh My God...!!!.... YOU ARE THE MAN...!!!, that noise was killing me and I thought all this time that it was the spring. Put grease on it, lubricant, you name it. Dirt and grime all over there, although my truck is parked pretty much every day because it is not my daily driver. It's a 2014 RAM 1500 with 18k miles on it and you just did it again....... WOW.....THANKS SO MUCH...!!!! LIFE IS GOOD....AGAIN....!!!

I remember my 2015 doing this after 2 years of ownership. Laughed after the initial shock, as I've never owned a vehicle with such character. Incidentally that very same post on the passenger side, it's not 100% put together I think, since the door on that side swings open more freely that the driver side.

This seems so insignificant but that sound was driving me up a wall! That roller on my 2016 Rebel was frozen stuck. Finally got it to move and all good! Went ahead and lubed up every door just in case. Thank you!!!

Back again. Although this helped immensely, it seems the roller on my truck works its way up the pin and starts squeaking again after a few weeks. Seems like its out of alignment? None of the other doors do this just the drivers side. I “fix” it by tapping the roller down from the top of the pin and it works for a while but eventually it works its way back up. Anyone else noticed this behavior and has a fix?

You sir, are the man! I picked up a VERY 2016 sport Hemi recently that I call “Midnight Storm” She is granite crystal metallic with black Tradesman 20’s and a flowmaster 44 exhaust already. Also some subtle ghost stripes on the front fenders which I really like. I’ve also just bought and installed Morimoto XB black projectors fogs and have ordered a gtr 55w hid kit and an S&B sir intake which will look and sound awesome! I would love to start a channel on this beast...but man, you’ve got it covered so well with everything already. Thanks again! These videos have been monumental in my journey to make it awesome!

Forgot to mention this. Use dirt bike chain lube, the spray kind. It's designed to do 2 things. Lube your chain and NOT collect dirt, debris or dust. ;)

I have a 2015 Ram 1500 Tradesman. It was in a wreck before I bought it. The Active Grille Shutter frame was cracked and the shutters all fell out. If I remove the whole assembly is it going to make a big difference in the fuel economy.

Mine does exactly the same thing. Silver 2012 Ram 1500 SLT 4x4. I lubed the hell out of that roller with several different types of lube including the stuff you used in the vid, wd40, white lithium, and even a small bottle of super lube. Nothing worked till I found the super lube.

I used garage door lube from lowes, works perfectly. Way better than lithium grease.

Do you ever get brake squeak when you first put the truck into gear? I find that these trucks have so much torque upon initial start up that if you immediately shift into drive without letting it idle down, then it actually tries to push the truck and the brakes squeak.
