We should not put condition on the Vamp? Like the area where the boots creases? Won’t the folds deep inside them need conditioning especially it is usually lighter in color than the rest? Thank you.

I'm about to condition some caiman boots. I have the "The Cole" and so the toe box and the vamp are one piece. Can/should I polish the entire caiman portions? Or should I avoid polishing caiman at all? I was told when I bought them I should condition them about once a month due to the aquatic nature of the leather source.

Hello! Great video 🙂 I just bought my 1st pair of boots... I can't find any colorless edge dressing anywhere (I live in Canada if that makes a difference). Do you know where I could buy some?
@AngelHernandez-sj4nkАй бұрын
Edge dressing should match color of it. It'll cover up scuffs & discoloration.

Can you use the same horsehair brush if you only have one?
@JonBrown-po7he6 күн бұрын
Only use a brush with identically colored footwear to avoid streaking.

What’s the edge dressing you use for that boot?

Saddle Soap those mofos then condition I'd say! You can never say no to a nice gloss polishing. I only apply scuff cover to heels if really worn out otherwise shoe polish does it all.

Is that the Tecovas brand conditioner? If not, is it safe to use on the scotch goat?
@Tecovas Жыл бұрын
It is our conditioner and you're good to use it on all of our leathers except suede!

Someone explain why a person would buy a pair of boots for $500 or more, yet don't clean, oil, or polish? My boots were expensive, so I maintain them well.

Can mink oil be used as conditioner?
@overratedprogrammer11 ай бұрын
Yes
@AngelHernandez-sj4nkАй бұрын
I'd recommend mink oil for working boots that are gonna take a beating. Mink oil will darken the leather & it's water proof to a point.

Why don’t you condition the upper? Every video I see from y’all all you do is the lower boot.
@walmartmannews78613 ай бұрын
I think it’s because the lower part of the part that gets dirty

You are referring to the shaft of the boot.

As opposed to the balls of the boot, which is what the man in the video is handling.

It just depends on the amount of wear. If you know about western culture then generally with traditional cowboy boots , yeah you would basically always do the whole boot. Those boots are more like dress boots and not really designed to be worn daily unless you are actually riding. Ropers on the other hand or what people who work in western boots typically wear. They are designed as a work boot and are basically a staple for a rancher. These boots need to be cleaned far more often so you generally can get away with not cleaning/conditioning the shaft as often. Whereas with the dress boots you probably just want to do the whole thing when you clean because it's probably due for a conditioning anyway. - You also generally wouldn't shine ropers because they are work boots and not meant to be worn to formal stuff like church or a wedding like the dressy traditional cowboy boots are.

The shaft of the boots also needs attention as well.

Why do you need two brushes?
@Redneckswagger2 Жыл бұрын
One brush is soft and the other is hard
@ilacixem619 Жыл бұрын
The hard brush is to remove dust/dirt etc.. the softer one is to polish (second brush is 'clean')
