The first one is officially licensed. It's a official gigan gachapan you can buy for 10usd

As mentioned by others the first one is indeed official. However, to add it’s a gashapon and the original price is 500yen, far lower than 10USD. It’s original price more like 5-3$ depending on conversion rates. That comes from a series of Gashapon toys that have massively varying amounts of quality as well. Overly complex monsters like Gigan suffer horribly (pains to assemble), but there’s a few like Megalon, Little Godzilla, and even SpaceGodzilla that look quite good.

As someone who own the Monsterarts Mechagodzilla, it's definatley more solid than this thing(a bit too solid, given some diecast construction seemingly removing waist articulation) but the tail moves almost exactly the same.

The Mebius seems to be based on the Ultra Action (not to be confused with Ultra Act) figure series, surprisingly it's a pretty recently released series so the fact they already have bootlegs is impressive Also the official one doesn't look all to different from the bootleg, it even has the bullet hole backshots!

Funny thing about that Mebius Brave figure, judging by the looks and articulation it looks to be in the style of the currently ongoing Ultra Action Figure line (which is getting a U.S. release soon, very cool) but from what I gather Bandai China has been doing lines similar to it for years now, so this might be a bootleg of one of those (if not the original but those Brace parts are suspect, to say the least)

Man, I hate that mecha-g design so much. Pretty much for all the reasons you mentioned, but also, yeah it looks bulky, but I'll add, at the same time, emaciated? Like, it looks too chunky AND too spindly at the same time. Awful design, but it does look much better in motion than as a display piece. In the movie, I didn't mind.
