For those who wants a few tips to ID bootlegs, the black glob is an EEPROM which is super rarely in official carts. If I recall ive seen some in official snes carts but they are rare. Next tip is that real nintendo carts have two digits/letters stamped on em. Its very hard to see but if you pick a legit cart and shine some light on it at the right angle you can see the 3d stamp on it. Exemple: E6, 24, stuff like that. Great video loved it. ❤

There are 2 way easier ways to tell, even from bad photos : the curved indent above the sticker ir wider than the sticker only on bootlegs, also the Nintendo seal of quality is supposed to be round not oval - these two things and the stamped numbers you mentioned and you can tell a bootleg in 3 seconds

Of course Mother 3 is a bootleg. I don't get what the point was trying to make. People buy Mother 3 English translation just to have it physically. *shrugs*

yeah I actually bought one of these online (to have one physically). They were very explicit that it was a repro and gave you options to load either the original game or with a specific version of the fan translation. No where do they try to pass it off as some sort of real NA cartridge of mother 3

I mean if it runs the fan translation emulator on a cart that you can put in a GBA why not buy it if its cheap. its up to the consumer and some people want a way to play the rom hacks on original hardware. if you don't like it thats fine but if it works then who cares...
