I know this is an old video, but fun fact, the reason some are the same but smaller is because the company took the larger toys and made a mold of them to knock-off, which causes the knock-offs of the knock-offs to be smaller. It happens a lot in the doll collecting world. XD

Yeah, but these had nothing to do with it. I thought they were bloody amazing because they were all that were around. They were basically just repaints of the same figure most of the time, and the series of power rangers always varied. Most of the time it was in fact wild force, but sometimes it was the magic series and one time it was the SPD. For some reason they were really bloody fond of those series.

That would be Takara. Fun fact, most G1 transformers toys were originally toys for Takara's "Diaclone" toy line, where people would drive mechs that turned into vehicles. Devastator was one such toy.

Funny enough, when I saw the names of the robots on the back of a box or magazine, Scavenger and Hugh towers names were swapped, even though Scavenger had his name literally on the side of his body. I'm going off the second movies variety of course.

Very nostalgic to see those fake crappy transformers. The third one I'm familiar with, the feet part (jeep and tank) was repackaged with some other similar ones (F1 car etc) in a pack of twelve, there are two of them each and it costs like $9 or something. The space shuttle one is also being sold with even worse plastic in one color mould, it costs less than $1.

I haven't heard the term used for them too often, but the model is specifically for close air support, so targeting tanks is part of its job. I usually hear the name Tank Buster applied to the 88mm flak cannons of WW2- their ability to aim parallel to the ground made them very versatile weapons- and more effective than conventional anti-tank weapons of the time, which were unable to reliably penetrate heavier tank armor.

That Devastor is almost as easy to take apart as the real Generation 2 version! (Also, there were some real yellow sets, too. Most were Europe exclusives, but the generation 2 one came out in NA as well. The gen 2 one didn't have spring-loaded fists, but the wings/arms/etc. were purple like they're supposed to be.)

Actually owned the real Bruticus and his pals when I was an ankle-biter, albeit a second generation version that was brightly colored and bizarrely added a camo print to everyone, including the space shuttle. Unfortunately, the second generation had them all released separately, and by the time I found the whole crew, the core robot had suffered irreparable battle damage, so the final product's full majesty was never realized. You needed to know this.

The A-10 is also called the Thunderbolt II, after the WWII aircraft that (like the A-10) was known for taking massive amounts of fire before going down.

Fun Fact: The Fairchild A-10 Thunderbolt II was built for survivability, being able to fly with only one engine, but only carried an electronic jamming pod making it easily shot down with more than one shot. It was eventually replaced with the well known Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon with now more than 3500 in the USAF. SUMMARY: The A-10 Thunderbolt II was not very good and the F-16 has received the most use and is more than 3x faster than the clunky A-10 'Warthog'.
