I worked on a fishing boat from Seattle but we fished out in the Bering Sea in Alaska. I also spent time homeless on the streets of Seattle about 7 years ago. Thankfully I wasn't on drugs or a drunk I used to set my cell phone alarm and get up extra early in the shelter looking for work and I found a job pretty quick that paid very well. After almost 2 months I was able to get into my own place again and buy a cheap used car that was great.

Insane I have the same story. Greyhound bus from Florida to Seattle. Day labor to pay for the hostel on pike and pine. Got on a boat in Ballard. Went to Alaska. Got to Seattle with a McDonald's gift card and zero monies. Flew back to Florida and bought a Hummer h3. Lol good luck and good times. It was 2005.

On PIKE and PINE huh?? Yeah Pike and Pine are two different streets that run side by side that go in the same direction. The numbered streets cross them. There's no Pike and Pine or one hostel that is an entire city block or any address that's Pike and Pine

So, yeah pike and pine is what I remember, and I'm sure that hostel is long long gone from the destruction of the city as it is now. It was the best city in America in my opinion.

Don't move here. It rains 365 days a year. And snows 200 days a year. Don't move here. It's also really hot in the summertime sometimes. And sometimes it rains a lot. And then in the summertime, it's really hot. And in the winter time it's really fucking cold. In autumn, all the trees turn weird colors and that's super fucking scary. And then it gets cold and then even colder. And then it rains a lot more. And then in the summertime it gets really fucking hot. But not too hot sometimes. Sometimes it in the summertime. It's not very hot. But in some years it's really nice. But overall you should not move here.

Me and my brother went from Sacramento to NYC to get home. I got some Valium to try to sleep the way. I took them to early got pic pocketed for my ticket I was so out of it. I like how Seattle a city where people have no absolutely idea about Seattle reminds me of California very similar, Seattle home to some of the top companies in the world Amazon, Costco, Microsoft, Boeing, Alaska airlines, Starbucks, Expedia, dairy milk, those business are huge, Bill Gates, Jeff besos lives here also Seattle has one of the best diverse community in America, You'll see a black person, asian, indian, Russian ant ethnicity all the time, in other places in the country you'll notice that there isn't that much diversity, Seattle has people from all around the world everywhere, in Kent WA has one of the highest crime rates in the world just a city close to Seattle, you gotta be careful how you move and always be cautious, there's no state tax, the opportunity to make big money in this state is a highly likely if you are a entrepreneur, having such diverse community creates a generation of people who's ideology on life is different the majority mostly vote for equality, the thriving city was built by migrants, refuges from Asia Middle Eastern, Russian, Ukraine, Africa, India, mexicans, I moved to Eastern WA state and I started to realize how grateful it was to grow up in a environment like that because where I live the demographic is 96% White, I'm not a racist but it's just better to grow up with diversity, if you can't make it out of a state that has so much opportunity idk what to tell you
