The thing is, with upstater's historically, for the most part, their neighborhoods were started by paisas. Let's keep it 💯 not that there's anything wrong with that it's just facts. There were some guys who came from the LA area and had a lot of influence is starting up a few neighborhoods but the guys that they had to choose from to be from their neighborhoods were mostly the kids of migrant farm workers. That's one thing I could never understand is how migrant kids calling northerners farmeros and (sod) "busters" when that's exactly what their coming from?? In school there was always a divide because the upstaters had more of a traditional Mexican style where as the northerners had more of an urban style or more "hip" if that makes sense. I think the real Southsiders from the LA area always had more of style similar to the northerners because they were more city influenced and carried themselves similar too. Personally I have met more than a few dudes from LA and they have always been some cool ass dudes we always thought they were just like us🤷🏽‍♂️ the upstaters always had disrespectful ways about them that made them not liked very much upstate but it's none of my business 🤷🏽‍♂️

You are correct. The only thing different is Northerners have Upstate Surenos in their section on a daily basis and its hard for some to separate them from LA Surenos.
