At least from my view. But the 96 meeting was so random we were headed to lollapalooza and im sure Snoop had a stage and Cypress hill had a stage but we packed 6 people in a geo metro and drove across Kansas about 8 hours with 2 lbs of good ganja and When Tech9 rolled up to us he asked us If we had any weed. I said yeah so we piled into his friends van and drove around rolling blunts. He said that he knew we had weed because we were a bunch of white dudes in a predominatly black area lol. But i got so high and then his friend said yo tech show these dudes your tape It was literally on a casset. It would have been cooler to get one but it was his only one.

I wholeheartedly disagree with your opinion that they've always wanted to be gang members. I understand why you think that because they've made some music to pay homage to the gangster rap that inspired them, but they've always been super transparent about not being gang members or anything like that, so it's ridiculous to say "They got what they asked for", because they didn't ask for it.
