It might be worth keeping an eye out for a replacement pressure switch as usually when you have to adjust it up so much to get the water back to where it used to be then it normally means the diaphragm inside the switch is starting to wear out... So just in case it completely fails at some point soon! And yep, that is right about the machine putting water in a different route at start of wash to fill the sump and make the ball float up and seal the tub before dispensing detergent. Great video, thank you 👍

Nice one! So satisfying... Try a quilt next time, I think you have the setting perfect. Good advice from Abdul too... Love Peace and Respect

Knew it would work!!! Id reccomend turning it down maybe a half to a quarter due to clothes needing friction to remove dirt but yeah, great video!!

TailGunner (my teenage daughter) and I once stood there filling our machine full of heavy soiled work clothes in, with a pan until we got the washing WET and then switched back on, only to watch the machine empty everything out including the detergents we had put in... I think you have it just right! Love Peace and Respect

When you ajust the pressure switch while its filling it tends to get a bit confused and do lower than it should, id recommend turning it down 3/4 or a whole turn

Putting too much water is also detrimental for wash efficiency, because water has a cushioning effect (more noticeable when washing delicates). A good tumbling action makes the clothes fall from the 2hs or 11hs position, but here you are barely going above the 3hs position (because the excess water makes the clothes fall earlier).

Excellent fix! so glad the community suggested lots :D a great water level, much better rinse performance! :) I dont worry to much about the level etc. usually the pressure switch will engage if it gets to high and kick in the pump to drain. just keep eye on things for a few washes. keep an eye on the draining hose make sure it doesnt get clogged up or leaks with the amount of water difference in emptying. i think they changed these switches on new machines so u cant adjust them. id only noticed a while ago on certain machines this was even a thing Fingers crossed it carries on for alot of years. the changes now done to your machine will affect its life span due to it working harder etc. but hopefully bearing and more just keep trodding along :) well done

The only thing left to do is put it on the pressurised water system in this house, It has started occasionally making a err5 (not filling within 8 minutes). so more pressure for faster fill would be better.

Yup, half a turn backwards and it's good I'd say. Although indeed much better than before.

I gave it 1/4 turn back, so it has 2 1/4 turns in from where it was. seems ok, but throws a err5 (not filling within 8 mins) sometimes on rinses. I think this is the water pressure issue however.

Now that’s a good amount of water! I do agree it is slightly too high and it could do with half a turn backwards but other than it it was a success!

I have to tinker with it a bit more. I learned a lot from all the comments. Thanks
Now all you have to do is make a video taking apart a pressure switch to complete this serie but beware there is two types of pressure switches mechanical like the one in your machine and digital found in more recent machines
@bootsowen25 күн бұрын
How does the digital one work?
@photopuppet25 күн бұрын
@@bootsowen The 'digital' ones use a type of piezo element that with air pressure changes either generate resistance or voltage depending on what kind it is... Can be very compact on a tiny IC though. The older (less used now) diaphragm type causes changes in capacitance depending on how much it's deflected by the changes in air pressure. I guess they are all sort of digital in a sense because an analogue-digital converter always turns those signals into something a processor can understand, but the piezo type is tiny and can be integrated onto the washer's main board reducing cost.

Now that you mention it I have seen the ones directly on the main pcb.

Can You Do A Extreme Big Overload In That Machine Up To The Drum
@zaczerlany-band26 күн бұрын
you can't put too much water as there is another switch which will not let you overfill, it can stop washing and empty the whole thing
@bootsowen25 күн бұрын
Where is the other switch.?
@zaczerlany-band25 күн бұрын
@@bootsowen it's the same one, it can be, empty, full, overfil, it you blow into that pipe you can hear 2 clicks(?)
