Great insight Jason! My company Hyperbeam decided to focus on bootstrapping instead of raising a pre-seed/seed, and now that we're considering raising it feels great knowing 1) our business can continue growing in the background while we prioritize investor meetings, and 2) we actually have the numbers to back ourselves up. So what if someone (I'm asking for a friend) wanted to start a special restaurant business, does that mean that NO VC's will invest in that type of business. It could make really good money, but obviously wont scale like a SAS business.

When I read the motto, "Do the Work", I can't help but think of Sanford Meisner (one of the big 3 that interpreted the Stanislavsky method of acting). His motto was, "That's the Work!"
