Boox Go Color 7: Unboxing, 1st Impressions, Comparison

I was given the opportunity to take a look at a device I might not have otherwise taken a look at. But when Onyx reached out to me to see if I'd like to look at their new Boox Go Color 7, I was very excited to do so. More experience with Boox products never hurts and since I don't have any with their Readers, I thought now's the time.
I really like the build quality, among other things, I point out in the video. I also look forward to putting this little, and I do mean little, device through its paces. Enjoy!

Love the transparency mode on my Go 10.3 and my NA3C! I wish my scribe had it.

Awesome review! Boox always delivers great products that are suitable for everybody. I love the freedom of a full android eink tablet over a dedicated reader like kobo or kindle.

Hey Roderick, you must have some connections. I am not much for testing other e-ink notetakers because I love my Supernotes, but have been trying to get a hold of some readers. Two quick things: First, believe it or not, a house key or office style key is great for opening the outside box you started with. The teeth tear right through tape and no danger of getting cut. Second, I am not sure if I heard you right but Supernote does have something similar to Transparency mode. It is called no load shutdown and allows you to leave a note open, the automatically wake up when it senses the pen. Great presentation as always.

I need to know if the tab mini c has better color screen quality than the color 7…. I have the TMC but the buttons got me 😂 I’m I just worry about losing the quality color.

From my testing, which is limited at the moment, the colors are better on the Tab Mini C. In part due to the lighter background on the Tab Mini C. Even with the backlight all the way up, the colors don't come close to the Tab Mini C. Just overall clarity is better too. I would only get the Go Color 7 over the Tab Mini C if those buttons meant more than anything else, and you wanted something a lot lighter and more portable. It also feels better in the hand.

when is the Boox go 10.3 review coming. I really want to get your view if it is worth to wait for the Supernote ax52 or if I should just go for the Boox Go 10.3

:( sadly there's a delay in getting the Go 10.3, so I may not have one up for a while. Most people who have them are getting them from the Chinese Store (or review copies) As soon as it hits my doorstep, I'm doing a quick unboxing then getting right to making the review.

No worries, Roderick, you're big enough.👍 Please, no comments from the "Peanut Gallery"😂 I am just voicing my opinion from what I heard....ladies. I know it's small brother but, what do you expect from 7 inches, personally I think it's a good size. Not much into readers as I'm illiterate but great 1st impressions overall. BTW, if you turn it around, the charging port will be on top. NYC🗽 says "Heylo"🙋‍♂
