Oh! Wow! My mom used to make these cake every morning. I used to get 4am to helps her out. After she finished I have to take all the cakes to the market and sell them. Hers always sold out by 9-10am. Thank you for reminding me of my childhood memories. I was going to ask her what she put in it before I get a chance to asked her, my mom passed away. I will try your recipe Bopha. I’ve made the bbq version from the red metal can and don’t like it. I do like my moms version of the old school coconut soda, vinegar, fish sauce, ginger. But would like to try a different version.
