I've been on budget travel since 06/Jun/17 to see the world, meet people, and eat local food. What's the country is like? Food? Culture? People? What's the life like there? I heard it's dangerous but is it true? I need to go and see rather than just believe everything I hear from TV, people or the Internet.
Subscribe to my channel and follow my journey! I'll show you great cultures and attractions in each place and how awesome traveling is!
I hope you can enjoy my videos and get inspired to go backpacking!!
Check out my Instagram and twitter too! There you can see where I really am at the moment.

I'm super happy to see you Jun. We met and chat together when thé van was broken in thé middle of thé bush. I'm thé black french guy from Guadeloupe, even if i've been lived in Suriname and French Guiana. Me too, thé police officers of Guyana, asked me a bribe before i had crossed thé border to Brazil. Afterwards, thé day after we reached Lethem, i miss my flight to Rio de Janeiro. Yes, this van journey was way much longer than expected and i paid another flight to south east Brazil. I made some connections in Boa Vista with thé haitian community thanks to people i Friend with in thé local airport. They even lodged me for one night. In Rio de Janeiro, i was thinking about you, wanting to go to Venezuela in thé middle of thé unrests that took place in this country. But eventualy, you did it successfully. To me, my expérience crossing thé borders from Suriname to Guyana, plus thé day we had crossed Guyana with all thé checkpoints, was my worse and scariest travel expérience in my life. Many scammers, rude, rogue and bad intended people i met. When i was in Brazil, i was starting to breathe again. It's not a trip for inexpérimentéd travelers.

Sorry for taking so long to realize your comment. I'm super surprised that you found me here on KZbin! Yes, it was a quite the adventure. tough, scary and uncomfortable trip that we will never forget haha I'm sorry that you missed your flight. I'm glad that at least some good experiences came along afterwards. You should definitely travel to Venezuela some day. I was there for about 3 weeks and wasn't enough. I would love to go back there one day.

I thank you very much for your comment man. I am Dominican and I was actually thinking about visiting Guyana and from there traveling by land to Brazil which is one of my favorite countries (I've visited 3 times) and even maybe Suriname by land too. However after reading about your experience I just decided to buy tickets to Cuba because I've had bad experience in other countries with currupt police officer and officials and really bad infraestructure and I don't really want to repeat that. I still would like to go to Guyana, but I'll just go by plane and leave by plane without leaving the capital city. If you guys have IG or something where you share your experiences in other countries I would be happy to follow you. Warm regards.

Dario Miguel Kurie Hi Dario Miguel! Good how are you? Good question... I think it was around 25 reales. But from the immigration office to the bus terminal in the nearest town, which is called Bonfim, is like a few kilometers away. I was lucky enough to hitchhike so if you don't want to walk, you may want to do the same or take a taxi if any:)

@junfromsomewhereeast5598

It was 17000GD. I checked another place as well but the price was the same. I thought it would be cheaper but no. The plane is a lot faster and more comfortable for sure but more expensive. So it's up to you. If you like the cheaper way, maybe the bus. If you are lucky then maybe you can cross the border within a day:) but you also might have to stay in Lethem which means you need to pay for a hostel, more food

Hi Anas Bhai! Thank you for the comment:) there is no way to get to Brazil from Colombia directly by bus. It’s the jungle area. You either fly there directly or go through another country. It is important to improve transparency and accountability in government including checks and balances daily for stability. Guyanese need a proper leader with a vision and plan to manage and maintain the country effectively. 1% in 2% for oil it's like bit and pens . Guyana can do better.raw deal .where is the $$$$$$_. Real a barrel of oil in u.s is approximately$52 .00 per barrel . check your quantity and make sure transparency and accountability in oil sector is effectively manage properly.
