Your welcome. Travelling through the borders with the pups was something that really stressed us out. We did a tone of research and after doing it wanted to share what we had learned...it is easy so long as you follow the time lines and your pets have all there proper vaccines. So so helpful, I am so happy I came across this video and your channel! I was wondering how you knew what the vaccine requirements where? I've been looking into the requirements for all the same borders + Costa Rica (as you obviously intend to do as well), and I saw the Rabies requirement and the parasitic treatment medication, but have not seen the other vaccine requirements anywhere else except this video. Can you please share what resources you used to help you better understand what the requirements are for the different border crossings? Thank you so much!

We did a tone of research through multiple websites, one we used the most was www.pettravel.com - we then cross referenced with various other travelers blog posts, Facebook travel groups (join the Pan-American travelers group) and watched numerous KZbin videos of people crossing borders with pets. We couldn't find one place that had everything all together...so we decided to make a video to hopefully help other travelers. We are currently leaving for Costa Rica in a week and are just finalizing the dog requirements. For Costa Rica the paperwork is a bit more involved and requires a bunch of stamps for both Costa Rica and to exit Nicaragua (no other border required you to "exit" your pets). The good news is that the veterinary offices in Nicaragua now the process and they take care of all the paperwork for and pay all the fees upfront (it takes a few days though). In terms of requires for Costa Rica the vaccinations and parasitic treatment are the same as the rest of the C4.

Yes, at all the borders we left the dogs in the car with the A/C running. After we got our personal entry/exit stamps Chris stayed in the car with the dogs and I would run around for the car and the dog paperwork. Nicaragua was only place the dogs needed to get out of the car.
