Sir I am quite doubtful, I have read H0 This video contradicts that theory.please reply..
@abrahamyrn4 ай бұрын
I was trying to figure out the same but from my understanding I think , fxx0 is for maxima when there is no constraint and vice versa And H>0 is for maxima when you have a constraint

Sir, in bordered hession whether we have to find out the critical points? That is, the value of x,y and lambda

sir how the value of gx n gy becomes -1? isn't it 1? please explain tomorrow is my exam
@gukkeditstutorials9179 Жыл бұрын
In constraint funtion its -x so when taken derivative it becomes -1

Assalamualikum. I have a confusion about gx and gy value. If we take gx and gy value from subject to function x+y=72, gx is 1 and gy also become 1.But when we take gx and gy value from Lagrangian function, gx and gy become -1.In this two way, the values of second order condition bordered Hessian are same.

Why we don't use hessian ?? Why we move to boarded hessian matric ?? Tomorrow is my paper please clarify this🥺🥺
@npateaching58043 жыл бұрын
Hessian is used In the case of unconstrained optimization of a multi-variable function that means optimisation of function without constraints. When we have constrained optimization of multivariable function i.e. the problems for which a function is to be minimized or maximized subject to a given constraints, the Bordered Hessian is used to check second order conditions for optimisation

G(x) and G(y) should be 1 and not -1. The constraint is x+y=72

If you find determinant of a given matrix, then you will find it.
